Where are you from you sound like local to me in west Yorkshire.
Are they selling out?
I know im asking randomly but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account?
I was stupid forgot my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Caspian Caspian Instablaster :)
I’d get the best sleep of my life if I was in that tent during that storm.
Me too! Wind is my Ambien.
But he ruined it by talking over the rain noise
I look at storm camping videos and go to sleep listening to the audio
@@alvinashneel9124 I use a fan it's on 365 nights a year
Me too
This happened to me and my husband in Scotland. Caught in a huge storm on a campsite, the most exciting thing ever. The campsite owner came to check on us and invited us up to his house but we declined,he thought we were mad!😁
@Fabric I totally agree mate
I bet he was into dogging.
@@bigbobhotrod4609 who doesn't like a little bit dogging🤣🤣
Nice. Brave couple
Bigbob Hot rod Reminds me of the Peter Kay car share series , the dogging episode , bloody hilarious , if you didn’t see it look it up on here on YT , C Taylor .
Great no nonsense video. Such a change to have someone using realistically priced equipment, instead of phenomenally expensive stuff. And could there be a better endorsement for the tent than taking it out in that weather? Great stuff.
Hi mate thankyou for watching I try to make my video down to earth as I can,
I don't stand channels that over edit
Butter's like Clamps in a shop.. You can Never have too much Butter or Clamps ...
That's like saying there's too much Bacon !!!
No one can argue with this !
You're not greedy, sir; you're eating like a king! It's a fact of human nature that the older we get, the more we enjoy good food. Well done to both you and OSCAR, sir!
Nights like this are exactly the reason why I make sure that my gear is slightly over rated in strength. Great video. I've learned that a thunderstorm in the wilderness will definitely test your gear in a hurry.
You made me Hungry 👍👍 Pork Chops look amazing. And when you are Hungry in the woods there is Nothing like it.
Hi mate have you seen the size of the steaks I eat now in my video's 🥩🥩🥩
I’m from America and I just love your accent. That food looked so good you’re right it did make
Me hungry it looked like a lot of fun out there!
Hey..we love yours too
what accent he just talks proper
I remember when i camped in strong winds, what a night that was! Me , my sister and my dad were setting the tent up, and all of a sudden, there was a massive force, and the side of the tent blew in. It was like someone had turned on a powerful blower. It never stopped at all, and i was sleeping on the front line of it. The corner took a right old beating, Never slept at all much that night, my dad was the only one to get some sort of sleep, he was on the other end of the tent.
You're not greedy, just eating as a man should!!
Correct!👍
It’s the start of a heatwave in the UK this week in August 2020, so I’m re-watching all his rain/wind videos to fool my poor heat affected brain into feeling cooler 🥶
👍
Turn on the air-con. That can fool your brain more effectively.
Yall british people ”My goodness the weather is a striking 12 degrees celsius!”
Not sure that I'd be brave enough to camp in that, but the sound of rain on the tent and wind blowing sounds amazing! 🌧🌬
Enjoyed the video! 6 chops cooked to perfection.! Outdoors in the weather with your gear. Would love to hike and camp in the UK and other European locations. Great to see folks outside the US enjoying the things we do as well.
If you cut the onions into thick rings n put them in first with butter/oil and cook for 5 min then place meat on top. Add slices of potato/root vegtable and water......try to find wild garlic or bring salt (should always carry salt) and other condiments. Cover and let it simmer on an orange 'charcoal' part of the fire rather than flame. You can eat cooked stinging nettles too, and cook or eat the seeds raw. Hope that helps 😁
Nice idea thank you,
Thankyou for watching
Lying in bed watching this and storm Dennis is happening now its 1 am and I starving watching ye
I'm sitting in a phoxx 2 right now and the weather says thunder storms soon. Watching this video has eased my mind for the coming night. Thanks.
So glad you’re enjoying mother nature at its best, and I’m glad you put the phoxx ll to the test because I’ve got the same tent, only I haven’t used it yet. No you’re not a pig eating all those chops by yourself if that’s what you enjoy. Thanks for the video it was entertaining.
Hi mate you will not be disappointed with the tent
definitely not greedy at all, as someone who loves their food I say enjoy it, you only get one life, live with enjoyment ☺
I've never seen TOO Much butter myself... but those pork chops are as snug as a bug in a rug .
The onions Make IT for sure!
When there's a storm brewing.. too much is never enough. Enjoy.
Hi thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment
Last summer I was camping with friends in Dent. What a night, the mother of all thunderstorms, very severe winds lightening, and PDRain. I was woken by the noise and racket afeared my tent would leak, nothing for it went back to sleep till morning.
Great camping videos.
Brilliant opening sequence. It was like watching Harry Worth or even The Wombles. Fair play lads!
Me and the missus camped out up Helvellyn in rain and thunder a few years ago. Love it.
Can't beat a bit of carbon.
That's awesome. When I'm camping and it starts to rain, I instantly fall asleep. That sound is amazing to sleep
Nice one, man - excellent test of the equipment and the OEX stuff genuinely seems like good gear so I'm glad you're giving it a proper testing and giving your honest opinion on how it performs.
However, I'd be a bit cautions about camping under trees in high winds unless it was in the heart of the wood and well protected from branches dropping.
Hi mate I agree with you about the tree but can't always let thing that might happen get in the way,
Thankyou for watching
@@englishwoodsman For sure, man - whatever will happen will happen. No point worrying about it, lol
@@pondguru yeah but you are right. The chances go way up in high winds, and by camping under the trees you are kind of asking for it. So if it ever happens I want him to keep that same energy😆.
I think the proof comes with how long it lasts, I wouldn’t expect to get more than ten camps out of a £60 tent, particularly in bad weather. Yes you can make repairs but it’s hard to notice small holes until you suddenly start getting piss wet through!
@@jonjohnson2844 Bollocks ! There is NO reason why it should'nt last for yrs.
I'd have slept like a log through that haha. I bloody love it when the weathers crap outside. Your bed seems like such a cosy place to be.
Shame people are leaving rubbish and ruining the hobby. Great video
Hi mate some people have no respect at all, thank you for watching
Yes it's very sad
I was out last night. I borrowed a snugpak stratosphere like your mates. Got set up, had me grub and turned about 9PM. It was windy with occasional showers . Apparently up here it was stormy, wet and cold and I slept all night. I woke up to and opened the bivy and got wet . I saw you video yesterday. Didn't have time for a reply . I often do scrambled eggs. I also like the black pudding. I like chopped and cooked with bacon pieces and served in a bun with either mustard or sauce of choice etc . I like it chopped into cubes and eaten raw with cheese and posh bread and spread . On some camps I eat a lot of food , nowt wrong with it as you need the energy. Watch Carlisle 195 CZcams channel, east like a king . His food bag is bigger is as big as his kit bag . Great video as usual and keep well and keep up the good work. Bye .
Hi mate thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment
Tip for you guys... take some medium potatoes with you already wrapped in tin foil. Stick them in the fire for about 30 to 40 mins and you have perfect baked tatties... take a small bottle ( maybe a coke bottle ) of red wine and stick in with the chops .... now we are talking !
Sound good I will considerate it next time, thank you for watching
When I were a lad, dad used to put spuds in foil and put them in the bonfire. That was the only time we ever had them. I thought it was a really fancy treat. Not a bright kid.
I can vouch for the Vango Blade 200, single pole tent. Fairly spacious for one man and it stood up to 5 days of rain in my back garden without a single drop getting inside. Great tent, the only downside is you need to crawl in and out
Love listening to the wind and rain, but not sure I would have pitched so close to small trees in that wind. CRUNCH.
Hi Mike thanks for watching them small tree are OK not going anywhere fast,,
The forest beckons us, fills our thoughts. You can't stay at home anymore! You literally rip your jacket and backpack off the rack. You go on a journey where there are no people, and nature is especially beautiful. The smell of last year's wet needles and leaves is carried by warm air, which permeates you with a strong stream. You cannot get enough of it. The forest accepts us as we are. We are his guests, not his hosts. And we are grateful to him. How can it be boring for someone in this world to look at a drawing of veins on a green leaf for several hours?
Great fun! Thanks for sharing. I have a curiosity about the English/UK countryside for a long time now. I have spent the majority of my life being a dirtbag adventurer. It's all about the food and cooking! Keep up the good work.
Hi mate If you enjoyed this video you will like that new video come Saturday night,, thankyou for watching
What questions do you have regarding the English countryside buddy? As you'll see from English Woodsman's video, we're a temperate climate where dampness (especially between October and April) is common. We also have severe laws on cutting down trees and even most wild camping sites have restrictions on gathering standing dead wood. That said, our trees offer a great deal of variety, ideal for bushcraft - shelter, easily preparing feather sticks, fat wood etc. Carrying a tool is problematic too. It's illegal to carry a fixed blade and the blade must be no more than 3 inches (about 7.5cm). Which is pretty useless, you can't baton well without a fixed blade (I prefer a full tang). There's work around though. If challenged by the police, ensure your blade is at the very bottom of your backpack. This way, you can confidently reply that it is a tool and not a weapon (as you couldn't possibly get to it in time to be of use). You need to be heading to or from your pitch location too...you can't justify walking around your local store with one.
@@eumaeus I was wondering about that big blade with orange handle! It's a shame that is illegal! I visited London twice and was perplexed by the lack of knive shops. (Not knowing at the time) with regards to the countryside I have no questions at the moment but seeing people traipsing about in the videos is exactly the answer I need.
Just got the phoxx ii v2 today my second oex item both off seeing your videos. Tested it out earlier and love this tent it is rock solid for the money can’t wait to get my first over nighter in using this. Thanks for the video. 👏🏻👏🏻👍😀🏕⛺️🏕👍 one of my favourite videos of yours.
Did the same thing with a fellow bouncer back some years back. Young blood was a bit of a unit as it was, lived in a huge property with his parents. We made A-frame shelters. He was messing around so much, when the storm hit, his shelter wasn't a quarter built. Mine was built, but everything soaked. Used mylar to line the top of mine. Halfway through the night, I heard this voice come through the radio headset...Stevie T...could you spare a mylar sheet please, I'm freezing" 😂😂😂
Gotta hand it to the boy though, he stuck it out all night til almost 7am! Great video buddy, brought ba k memories
Hi mate thankyou for sharing your story with me,
@@englishwoodsman Thought you'd like it. The shelter he built was a resemblance of his parents big place in size and even though he was a unit, it was comical when I heard his teeth chattering over that radio, as he laid in his part finished shelter, freezing his Niagras off 😂
You’re eating well and not greedy. It’s great watching you cook and enjoying your food.
Well thankyou for watching
Dude, I love your video! My wife and I thought you might be backpacking until we saw all the kit you were carrying. Did you drag a wagon behind you to carry all that gear? Your friend has that little bitty ivy to sleep in, yet brings that big a$$ knife still in the package. Love it! You guys are fun and a little crazy. Keep up the good work and have fun!
Look up Swedish fire torch for your next trip. Good for long fire but more importantly provides a solid reliable surface for your pan and no fear of it tipping over.
a fun time for you blokes , cheers from the USA in Utah
I just bought one of these tents after discovering mice decided to start gnawing at my trusty 25 year old eurohike tent. My fault for leaving it on the floor of the shed. Looking forward to testing it out next week.
Love this...accent and all. Part of the fun is tryin to understand what's being said lol
@Blue Knight we are :)
What, plain English??
Dan...When you say you cannot sleep at night in your tent is probably due to all the meat you eat before bed. Boil milk and put it in hot choc drink,it will definitely help mate and less meat too. Try it and give me a shout out ,guaranteed you’ll sleep way better.
Some great tips thanks. Will use them when camping around Ireland 🇮🇪. Well done on the video!
Hi mate thankyou for watching and taking the time to comment,
Great vid. I bought some OEX pans recently and tested them with a Coleman 442 burner. Completely wonderful. Now on going to get the tent. I really do believe that OEX gear is really ok for guys like me that don't want to spend the big bucks on more lavish equipment. Keep up the great work. Dave in Doncaster
I’m sure your buddy knows not to have a lot of tarp hanging outside the footprint of the tent cuz that just channels the water right inside! Just started watching so we will see!
I thought the same. That said, learning from your own mistakes is the best way to learn.
Clocked that straight away he’s had a mare there
Wow... !!! My best friend, thanks to you, I enjoyed watching... I'm proud of you for developing day by day.
These videos make me want to camp after all this craziness that's going on right now has stopped
during all this craziness that's going on is the perfect time to do it :)
@@smithers4420 some nut bags will show up screaming slave traders used tents.
Why wait brother. The time is now
How to cook a piece of meat to within an inch of tenderness. Put the onions in first up, soften them and then fast cook the pork whist they sit on top of the onions. Drizzle a bit of honey over the lot and serve on a bed of green beans cooked in the billy can (kettle) . Wash it down with a couple of cold ones and top the night off with a decent slug of whisky.. What wind and rain? 😉👍🇦🇺
That looks so good, and it’s making me so hungry! You need a lot of calories to fight off the cold wind, so no, not greedy. And as Jamie Morgan said, no such thing as too much butter.
Hi Caroline thank you for watching and taking the time to comment,
Wind and rain lovely sound very therapeutic like your video.
Great vid for testing the phoxx ii. I'm from southern England and we had quite bad weather too but not like that. P.s your a bloody brave man to camp in that weather and Scott is just mad sleeping in that bivi in that weather.
Well mate its alway good to test equipment,, but that oex phoxx II is a fantastic tent
@@englishwoodsman yep, I'm planning on upgrading to the phoxx ii because your review was great and it looks like a great tent.
I'm probably one of the few foragers on your comments that will point out that log where you ate your food has highly medicinal Turkey tail fungus growing off it. Reputedly a great immunity booster
Hi mate your the first to point that out, 👍👍👍
Have to look into that
@@OscarOutdoors22 I usually just forage for the food items. But in my hobby you pick up knowledge about the medicinals as well
Not ashamed to admit foraging is one of my weak points. I really need to learn...
Perfect time to go camping! Only real outdoor guys apreciate those conditions...we are twisted like that. Lol. Oh and the pork chops looked great by the way! Not greedy.... You just love food.. Nothing wrong with that! 👍
Hi mate thankyou for watching you got that right I love food,
A friend who knows about camping told me to watch this. Quite interesting, how you have food, and keep warm in a storm. I have this big thing, its always warm and out of the wind. I can cook food just turn a control and it makes the cooking pan the temperature you want. My bed is already made and doesnt get cold or wet. Its called a house, you shoud try one, much easier. Anyway, well done for staying outside, and making this video.
Mate we all have nice warm home but camping outdoors is brilliant,
Thankyou for watching if you are interested in another camping video please watch this czcams.com/video/L6wevNlCb7U/video.html
@@englishwoodsman Im sure you enjoy it, no problem. See, the only time I went camping was with the Wolf Cubs, in wild Wales. We were told to bring a blanket, which I did. The tents were huge heavy canvas things to take 6 cubs. It was autumn half term, and we went by train from London. There was a groundsheet which leaked. Rain dripped from above. It was cold and the ground was cold and wet. All our spare clothes were used to try to insulate us, but ended up wet. we had a hot breakfast around a big fire but our front was too hot and our backs wet and cold. No modern waterproofs then, it was the worst experience I ever had.
@@englishwoodsman Mr. Smith is confined to his home due to a shattered spine. I'm sure he wishes to be able to camp out.
Your not being greedy at all. Looks amazing.
Great vid....and yeah, that cooking got me hungry!! i spent years camping and used to love being in a tent when pouring with rain. Best tent i ever had was a Vango Force Ten Mk5. Bought it second hand for £40 and ten years later sold it for £120 and could easily have sold it several times over as the phone rang off the bloody hook! Now i'm too old and knackered for camping but toured throughout Europe in a campervan.

Hiya Dan, that's one of the best camp 🔥 fires I've seen in a while. As for the food... I don't think it's being greedy. You probably already know this, but rather than using your foot to clear the twigs, rocks and leaves to make a footprint for your tent, find a tree limb with lots of branches and use it like a rake or broom. Thanks for the vid. I enjoyed it. Cheers.

Not greedy. They are thin chops. Look delicious!!! Even the well done one. 😎
I've watched a lot of videos with storms and I must admit there all pretty crab someone please show people what a real storm is like high winds pissing down rain and lots of snow
All he has was a breeze. Horrendous wind my ass.
Pork is 6-2-2 at 2cm -
Add the meat to the pan and cook on high for six minutes on one side.
After six minutes, turn the steak over and cook for another two minutes on the other side.
Remove the meat from the pan and let it rest uncovered on a plate in a warm area (not the fridge). Resting your meat for two minutes after cooking will allow for it to hold on to the delicious juices after cutting.
Nothing wrong with a healthy appetite buddy. Keep the vids coming they are great to watch 👍👍👍
Hi mate thankyou for watching so soon
Tinned potatoes would've gone great with that meal & only need warming in the same pan. Good stuff
It takes 3 chops to keep your energy goin then store couple for breakfast being a storm coming

Not smart pitching your small tent on a spread tarp like that in rain. You'll wake in a bathtub. Fold it to the size of the floor.
Hi mate I did tell him but he still did It😅😅😅😅😅😅
when you are spliting wood, baton it half way to get the blade stuck and then hit a fallen log with the stuck blade and wood. this way you wont blunt or chip the blade batoning it into the dirt. no point ruining a good blade.

I had a similar experience last weekend snow camping in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California about 7200 feet. One gust measured 209 miles per hour about 10 miles from us. I'm willing to be we had winds between 60 and 80 miles per hour overnight and into the morning. Just about knocked me over hiking up the hill with my pulk and snowshoes to the parking lot. Nasty crosswind. I'm working on a video of our shenanigans from the night before - and showing some of the storm. Crazy winds for sure!
I am looking forward to us getting snow mate can't wait,
