Enjoyed your video I often go walking in the trossachs but not pike fish yet. Is that loch achray location as it looks familiar? I wouldn’t mind meeting up with you for some guidance/ instruction next time I am up as just getting some pike gear together Newbee 👍
Thanks! Pike fishing is good fun, one of the most important things about it is learning how to handle these awesome fish. Yep that’s the spot, mostly small pike in it but still good fun. Sure I’m always happy to help
I’d recommend watching ginger fisherman’s videos on how to unhook pike safely, once you know how go handle them and have a decent pair of forceps and unhooking mat it all becomes quite easy. You’ll get use to holding them pretty quick, one of the easiest fish to handle once you know how! If I do some pike fishing in the near future I’ll include a tutorial too. Tight lines mate
Thanks mate! I’ve had a sea trout and lost a grilse at the net last month, it’s been surprisingly quiet considering all the rain but hopefully I’ll bump into something soon
Just a bit of friendly advice eye noticed you have no drop back indicators, when ledgering it's a must as they stop you deep hooking pike bye showing drop back run's when the pike swims towards you the indicator will drop without out them the pike could be sitting there swallowing your bait and you wouldn't have known hope this helps you in the future 👍
Yep not far from here! I’ve seen your videos before, you have some of the old forth? That’s an interesting river to fish, do you ever get any pike off it? I know there use to be a good number in there
@@CJsReelAdventures nice one. Yeh I do have some of the old forth. To be honest I haven’t done much with it this season. For a few reasons. But now it’s all sorted. I’ll be looking forward to next season on it. We have had a few smaller pike on it. Nothing huge so far but we haven’t really targeted it. Do you have some way I could message you? Wondering if you’d like a season permit for it (on me) and maybe we could do a couple vids or something. I’m going to be targeting pike on it soon if you’d like to join. I have heard many stories and one amazing story from a diver that will never get back in the old forth due to how big a pike was there. So I’m keen to deadbait it and see if there is in fact still monster pike in it.
Great vid mate, good set up
Thanks mate!

Enjoyed that mate........can you turn the alarms up a bit, we didn't hear them in The Midlands LOL
Haha I did realise when watching it back that I should have turned them down in post 😂
