- Today, Robert from Corvette World shows us all about the C8 Corvette as he would do with someone that is buying a C8 for the first time. This is a very informative and in depth walk around that is great for anyone that has had a C8 for a while or someone that has just bought one. There is a whole lot of technology in these cars and this can be a nice reminder of things you may even have forgotten your car can do. Thank you to Robert for taking the time to do this for us.

You did a great job cutting down the 4 hour conversation to 30 minutes! LOL
I mostly cut out when I was talking since my info was not necessarily needed.
Aaq!!a!!!!!!aaa!a!@@FrontSeatDriver
Finally… I have something to watch for well over 30-Minutes!😅
It will replace an episode of Friends.
@@FrontSeatDriver LOL!
THANK YOU! I pick up my ‘24 this weekend and my salesman has already told me he knows nothing about the car! He’s just gonna give me the keys and say there you go 🤦♂️. This helps A LOT!
Congrats on your new car!
Did you request your 15% discount and your three free oil changes because you paid full price but were subjected to an idiot salesman who promised you a totally different experience
They didn’t do that for me either the Customer house or depend on the BS that the shills on the Internet promises will happen
There’s a channel called DPCcars look for 2020 How to guide for Corvette. It’s pretty detailed and just under an hour long.
Even though I have a 2020, this refresher was great! Forgot about the key under the handle! Well done Robert.
Exactly. Definitely a great reminder of things the car does and offers. When you don’t use stuff regularly, you can forget.
Awesome stuff here, Jason! Thanks for bringing us along!
Thanks, Justin!!
Very interesting all the changes from the C6/7 to the C8. Such a different car.
Agreed.
Robert you were very informative. I also learned things about my 2023C8 thanks.
Great tutorial. I drove off the lot without practically knowing any of the functions to this fabulous machine.
Thanks for watching. 🙏
This is perfect. My new C8 comes next week and I bought it from an out-of-state dealer so I won't have the benefit of a walkthrough. Thanks for posting!
@@jamesw.6931 Yeah more or less. Had to buy some overpriced inclusions: lo-jack, clear bra (which is worth it but they priced it high), tinted windows (same as before) but otherwise got it at MSRP. White HTC 2LT Z51 with carbon flash everything.
Congratulations!!!Arctic White HTC. Good choice.
Me either mine is a 23 Annuversary it had 1500 miles on it the salesman knew some basics but the forum and the manual have helped me the dealer not much
This video was very informative! That guys did an excellent job. Thanks for making this video.
Thanks for watching 11 second Eclipse. 🙏
This will certainly come in handy, when my C8 arrive.. this video has been SAVED!!!! thanks so much
You’re very welcome. Thank you for watching. 🙏
Thanks for your video. Learned so many things that I didn't know about the Corvette!
You’re very welcome.
I have another one coming out on the C7. Probably this week or next. Still have to edit it.
Wow-thank you!! I so wish I had watched this before I got my new C8 yesterday morning. I could have taught my salesman many things. INCREDIBLY helpful. Again, thx!
That’s awesome and thanks for watching, Robert. 🙏
This info is so essential. Nice work.
GREAT idea for a video. I just bought a used 2022 and this was extremely helpful!
Awesome. Thank you!! Glad it was helpful.
This is very informative. Excellent video, and I’ll be getting mine sometime next year!
Thank you. 🙏
Excellent; way better than the dealer I bought mine from.
Yes. Rob is very thorough. Thanks for watching.
Very important that new Corvette owners wear the official uniform. New Balance shoes, cargo shorts, & a polo shirt with Corvette wings logo. 😆
Yes. I just bought a brand new pair of new balance shoes. Last ones didn’t have enough white on them. I don’t really do cargo shorts. I’m more of a blue Jean shorts kinda guy. They go great with my knee high socks and brand new shoes. 😉
No, no, no... y'all are behind the times... need to transition to Hoka shoes. They're what all the cool folks are wearing now! (says my 40-something-year-old son... actually he says they're the most comfortable shoes he's ever owned. This is not a commercial; I don't own any; I'm just grinning over the New Balance comments!)
My C8 salesman I. Miami was very knowledgeable about the car. He helped me pair my phone, get the trial on star set up, and demonstrated the one person top removal process for my coupe.
Great video. Huge fan. Viewed, liked and commented.
🙏
I can get down on my knees to get to the trunk. How cool is that!
Me too…..sometimes. 🤣
Robert is so awesome. Great info.
Yes. We have another one coming with the C7. Hoping to have it out on Tuesday.
If you push in the start stop button and hold it in a few seconds without your foot on the brake it will go into a mode where you can make any adjustments to the controls on the car without starting it every time. Learned this on my c7 and also works on my c8. Nice feature. Just push once finished and will turn off.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll try it.
Goes into..ACCESSORY mode!!
Awesome
Greatly appreciated, thank you!
You’re very welcome and thanks for watching. 🙏
Very professional
We have ours coming any day… this orientation is OUTSTANDING!!!!
Awesome. Congratulations!
Awesome content buddy 👍 looks amazing
Thank you, Chad. 🙏
I really appreciate you for this video, this how sales man should be in my opinion, thank you again I enjoyed I learned alot and my first cars was a corvette C5 convertible, so the new ZO6 is a must to me, 🤠
Nice!
And thank you! 🙏
Nice video Jason. A lot of information given on this one.
Thanks for watching. 🙏
Lots of good information! Thanks!
Thanks, Jayme!
Too sick!....I love the color combination!😍😍
Thank you!! 🙏
Great Review! Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
That’s a lot of great information.
Absolutely. 😀
That was excellent!
🙏
Ed Newman Chevy was 1 block from my house. I remember sitting in a red and white 58 Convertible for hours making engine noises. It was front and center in their showroom. I guess they they it was good PR to have a kid like it so much. BTW years later I bought my 75 Monte there. A dog of a 350. Later bought used 75 4d Malibu 350 that blew the doors off the Monte.
Great job thanks
Well done! Thank you
🙏
Interesting and very useful
🙏
Gotta say, I was unbelievably disappointed when I went to corvette world, Dallas. I was there two days ago, as of this message. I am probably going to buy a new 2024 2lt convertible, but I wanted to check out, in person, the cars and all the potential options. I called ahead of time and whoever answered was enthusiastic that I come by and see them -- but when I arrived, with my partner, despite being numerous salespersons available, not a single one bothered to approach me. So I directly called over one; don't even know his name because he didn't give it, and tried asking specific questions about what options the current 2023 I was looking at had. Instead of telling me anything about the car, he just told me to read the sheet in the front windshield. Stared at me while I picked it up and tried finding the info I wanted out of the unfamiliar and poorly organized sheet. So I went back to talking / thinking aloud about the car, and he said nothing. Then walked away.
Basically that happened with 2 other sales people, where I was completely and entirely unavailable to get any interaction, let alone professional interaction, from the dealership. I cannot fathom why. I was there dressed very nicely; moreso than anyone in this video--not that I'm trying to be critical, but I'm indicating I don't think my appearance was somehow an issue.
I run my own business, and after I walked out on them, because again, NOBODY WOULD TALK TO ME, I couldn't stop thinking about how utterly enraged I would be with my employees if I saw them treat a customer this way.
I am sorry about your experience there and not sure who you spoke to. I know Robert always greets people as they walk in but I am not sure who the other salesman is. He is new and I haven’t been there much lately.
I hope you find the car you’re looking for and have a great experience. Thanks for the comment. 🙏
wow this guys know this cars thank you
I know, right!! He’s the Vette Encyclopedia. 🤣
Great video! 👍
Thank you!
I bought my 2023 from Robert a few weeks ago, and Im extremely satisfied with his professionalism.
I’m not happy with GM’s decision to remove the rear hatch key lock. If the solenoid ever goes bad, regardless of a dead battery or not, drilling a 3” hole on the hatch deck (according to GM) is not acceptable.
GM needs to step up to the plate and offer 2023 and newer owners a key lock for the hatch.
Good point!!
Don’t forget about the keyhole under the driver’s side door handle!
Really a great video, thanks a lot, I would have like the steering well tilt button functions.
Thanks!!
It’s hard to get everything in a video. This one is already over 30 min. That’s not ideal for a YT video unfortunately.
There’s even some seat settings we missed and I just learned about the other day.
I’m really enjoying my new 2023 C8 corvette coupe in amplify orange with carbon metallic it’s revolutionary memorable unforgettable incredible remarkable phenomenal. The word I’m looking for is Beast, Exotic car look!
Absolutely!! One of my favorite colors!!! Congrats on the car.
Great vid, thank you.
Question … I like to drive in sport mode, can I set it so it defaults to sport on start up ? It always starts up in tour mode and I have to manually set to sport every time. Can’t figure that out.
So many pretty cars
Ya know it.
Great video. I’m hoping my Z shows up later this year. This helps a lot …..
That’d be awesome!! Send me pics when you get it. I’ll post on Vette Syndicate and my IG page and tag you.
Thanks guys
Thanks for watching, Glenn.
This is the closest I will ever come to a C8. Awesome video! (Heading out to buy a lottery ticket 😂)
🤣 Thanks for watching! 🙏
man that is a lot, cool stuff.
Agreed.
this is perfect video guidance. I have 2024 c8 stingray 3lt. I am wondering if
you may know the answer for the issue i am experiencing now. When i push Android Auto button on my infotainment screen wifi signal with green bars dissapered on top of the screen and showing blank out sqare symbol of the week connection, at the same time when all other apps have a green bars wifi connection. Also, when i go to setting- application- View all- i can see the list of my application with the symbol lit up on the left hand side follofing by the application name, but Android auto and wifi hotspot
symbols are blanked out??
is it someting you can see on 2024 models , or i have an issue?
Thank you…
Very welcome.
Just got mine yesterday. Great video!
I have so many dumb questions like cam you switch modes without the car being on? ie i forgot to put the exhaust on quiet and don't want my meighbors yo hate me in the morning.
Can you run the PDR in the background and still use the other features on the touch screen, or does it have to stay on when it's on. I ask because i want to have a dash cam running at all times, but don't want my screen occupied by the camera.
Should you hold on launch control until after 1500 miles, or is it ok to use after 500?
All good questions! I'd also like to know the answers to these! Anyone?
Damn Jason & Robert, that was definitely very intuitive and well done layout of the C8 features!
I feel like I'm prepared for when my C8 allocation finally gets here...ha ha ha!
Anyone want to give me their early E-Ray allocation... anyone 😆
Well done

Thanks, Shane. You’ll be happy with either, I am sure. That 70th is just awesome.
love that C8
Josh!! How’s it going?
Good yourself?
As this was a HTC he should’ve mentioned you can press lock then the button for the roof to open the rear “hood” to get to the engine compartment without lowering the roof or trying to stop it in the middle of the cycle
They may not even know. I didn’t! Thanks for your comment. I went out and did it myself to be sure. Lol. It works! Hopefully I will remember to mention this at some point. I am sure others don’t know this either.
I bought a 2024 a couple weeks ago, I don’t care for the car. If I would have been given this demonstration before I wrote the check I wouldn’t have bought the car. With-all the technology on the car, I don’t enjoy it at all. I prefer simpler car. I can’t wait until it’s gone.
Great info!
However… several of the features were covered more as how they compare to the earlier generations. "Just like the C7."
For us lucky folks who are getting a C8 as their first Corvette, can someone recommend a features walkthrough video that focuses on just the new car? (I'm closing on a '23 Stingray tomorrow!)
Congrats on the new C8!!
That car looks great. How many miles you got so far?
Thanks! Like 800 ish. Not exactly sure but that’s close.
It was very informative, but there was too much comparison to the C7. As a new owner of a C8, I don't need to know what older Vettes have or had.
Thank you for sharing.
Agreed but I think it was because he was doing the video with me and knowing I have a C7 and was just kinda habit when you know your customer as opposed to doing a strictly new C8 owner. It wasn’t intentional, just 2nd nature of being in sales.
I just got my C8 2 weeks ago, I came by your video and there's my car same color. I would like to know where I can buy the vinyl that is on the frunk cover. Your video is great thank you. I am confused about
how to use the parking brake.
Thank you!!
I got my vinyl from Hobby Lobby. It was just a sheet and I cut out a rectangle and stuck it to a piece of post card that I got in the mail and slid it down. It was kind of a pain to do.
I’ll look at my parking brake and let you know. I can’t even remember using it.
And congratulations on the new car!!
What about the front end lift activation? How do you adjust the memory function or is it fully automatic?
For the front end lift, this is assuming you purchased this option when building the car: you have to have it as an extra, otherwise the car doesn't just lift itself. To operate the lift, there are 3 buttons above the selector lever for the drive mode and to the right of the P/N/D/R buttons on the middle console, under the screen. On my 2024 HTC, it's the middle button and shows the front silhouette of a car with an up arrow over the hood. When you want to make the car lift, just push that button and you should hear the lift motor whirring. It takes a couple of seconds for the car to lift, so go slow if you're about to go over a speed bump, for instance. Then push it again to return the car to "unlifted" status. For memory function, are you asking if the lift works that way? No, I don't think so. I think you have to physically push the button each time you need the lift to activate. Even though the car has cameras and sensors galore, I don't think it's programmed to engage automatically. But I'm still a very novice owner... will try it next time I come to a speed bump!
I don’t know which trim to get as a 20yr old I plan on it next month already !
I went 2 LT this time. 3LZ on my 17 Z06 but if you can afford the 3 LT, go for it.
You should write on its license ND 4 spd that would be really cool , I would that on mine if I had one
For sure. I think I’ve seen a similar one here in Texas.
those Z51 air brake components Can they stay permanent or need to be taken once track day is done?
GM recommends they be removed. Probably due to roads causing damage to them. They could be torn off going over speed bumps or whatever.
CAN YOU DO A WALK THROUGH ON A 2019 Z06 OR ANY YEAR C7 Z06. Thanks
Yes. That is one that will be coming soon. We talked about doing that one when we were recording this video.
Best way to know if old updates needed? What procedure should one go through in general as routine? What’s biggest disk?
On the SD card, I read as much as 2 TB.
@@FrontSeatDriver I’ve never read anything about max sd card. I have 1 TB just wanted to know if too much. Where did you get your 2 tB? I like idea of maximum recording and just deleting major duds and having a record of trips etc. I’m going to Colorado and crossing continental divide at 12,000 feet
www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c8-general-discussion/4418522-largest-memory-card-for-c8.html
I'm sorry , what equipment did you use to film 🎥 the car
iPhone 13 ProMax
What does nerf it out mean?
What if someone can open your front hood by them knowing where the latch is ?!?? How do you keep it locked
If the car is locked, it’s locked. Same with trunk.
My mode and selector? Remind me what referring to and what about z06v
With my mode you can go and customize all your settings like exhaust, suspension, steering etc.
😎👍
Quick question if I may. Does Corvette World and or Corvette Warehouse negotiate pricing?
Corvette World does not. I am not certain about Corvette Warehouse.
@@FrontSeatDriver Thanks.
Tell them about the gallon of water that gets held behind the rear window. On the HTC
lol. For sure!! A small lake. Not sure why they sloped it back like that. Ceramic coating and a leaf blower help though. 😆
Did you say there is no adaptive cruise control? I just looked that up and it does not have it. With all that technology, I’m surprised, but I guess the designers did that on purpose.
I believe it will be on the 24’s. I saw a ‘24 the other day but didn’t think to look.
I put the tape on the floor and use the car front camera to see and stop at the same spot
Nice idea. I might do that myself!
Thanks for watching.
I’ve got a tennis ball hanging from fishing line
I have a painted T line on the floor in my garage. Turn on the front camera when entering and line up with center point of front spoiler. Then stop when point touches the perpendicular line. My car is positioned at the exact same place every time.
How to “set up car”? Recently my si Sirius stopped and very hard to communicate with Sirius office people. I have a on going monthly renewing subscription but no service!
Are they American or foreign from the help line?
@@FrontSeatDriver I think phillipino
Is there an American based line or number? Can’t understand and used to live in Hawaii where a lot of them lived but this a thick accent.
You recommend corvette C8 or jag f type r?
I haven’t driven the Jag but I do like it quite a bit! Looks and sounds great!
Does this cars still go over MSRP ?
In some places.
Pull in both pattle shifters simultaneously and see what happens. You’re welcome.
You forgot to demonstrate how to open the lid to check the oil and the 12 volt power point under the dash on the passenger side. Other than that you did a complete and easy explanation of the car’s functions.
I’m sure there are other things missed as well but this video would be an hour long. 😁
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. 🙏
@@FrontSeatDriver it was an excellent video and very informative. I recommend it and give it a thumbs up. Thanks for posting it. 🙏🏼
Learned alot but it would be much better without c6 c7 comments, that was just confusing. Wish you spent more time on the controls to identify drive modes and front lift
I am 50/50 on buying a 2022 C8r, but I keep reading horror stories on these cars being so unreliable, what’s your thoughts ?
I’ve had my C8 since Oct. 2022. So far, so good. I know some have had issues but they’ve built a ton of them that haven’t had problems. I recommend it.
1 thing left out. 12v plug is under glove compartment.
Yes. That’s correct. I have my pro clip plugged in there.
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching. 🙏
Is the c7 battery charger compatible c8?
Yes. Just plugs in in the front instead of in the back.
@@FrontSeatDriver thanks so much. How often should I keep it charged? Does it do any harm if I leave it plugged even after it's fully charged.?
While it’s somewhat informative. If this were to be my first corvette. And it’s on order. I really wouldn’t want to here “ it use to be here in the C7 or anything prior. “I am in a new C8. Just go through the set up. The prior reference is just more confusing
Good stuff but when describing many of us never had a C7 so we can’t compare or use that as a reference
Good point. We will be doing one soon on the C7. I will mention to him to not compare it to another generation.
I hate to be negative because I always look forward to Corvette World videos. I thought the video was going to be a C8 guide but it is actually more of a comparison of C8 to older generations. Sorry but I found that annoying.
There was a lot of comparison to older generations but at the same time there was also a lot of info on how the new car works.
@@FrontSeatDriver Agreed
Do y’all do msrp on new c8 s?
I don’t work for Corvette World but they do not get “new” Corvettes. Everything they sell has been purchased by a regular consumer and sold to them as a used vehicle.
@@FrontSeatDriver yea I just checked out their prices …looks like people buy them put a couple miles on them and sell it for all the money (c8 flipping) and then CV needs to be making their profit as well , any places you do know that sells them msrp ?
80k for a c8 lt1 340 miles
@@marccddiaz I don’t specifically know any with one on the lot but Lynn Smith Chevrolet in Burleson, Tx sells MSRP and also Huffines Chevrolet in Dallas will too. But like I said, not sure of allocation availability.
I would get a new salesman
First thing....Show the owner how to open the doors with no power. Could save a life.
Two more things about the C8. It will not remember the auto door lock setting and the speech recognition is 10 x worse than the worst I have ever encountered.
Nerfed out? No idea what that means.
lol. Yeah. I’m not sure either. I don’t remember that part. 🤣
No front sensors? That’s weird
2LT and above have front cameras.
Corvette is like a more affordable ferrari or McLaren
Definitely much more affordable.
I don't care controls were on previous cars! ; )
Well, no one’s perfect. At least the majority of the information can be helpful. Still better than going through the owners manual for me.
@@FrontSeatDriver The presentation was very good but, if you think about it, all those references to where thing aren't, just makes it confusing. Like the Irishman giving directions at the beginning of "The Quiet Man"...
@@anthonyat2401 I do agree with your point.
My C8 is supposed to be arriving in about 4 weeks (after an 18 month wait) but there doesn't seem to be any way of finding out more!
@@anthonyat2401 Unfortunately, no. I was told by Corvette Concierge that they didn’t know exactly when it would be shipped out then I get a call a couple days later that it’s already at the dealership.
Flunk or thrunk😂😢
😁
Not good , u can break the clips any time , it’s GM’s trick to sell spare parts, I have never seen such disgusting way of opening the cover
Spend some time and talk about all of the transmission problems.
Why?
Because people ought to be aware of that potential problem before plunking down $80K or more. GM hasn't sorted it out in 4 model years. Not a good look.@@FrontSeatDriver
