Beautiful nib. There’s a lot of variety among pink nibs. Some are floppy and flexible, and others can be rather firm. Almost all are very very fine, whatever their degree of flex. Also, don’t be discouraged if you find a pink ripple pen whose pink casein band is more of an orange color - that means it’s original. The color bands that are actually pink, like yours here, are modern reproductions. The original casein bands inevitably crack and chip, and pens are often found with big chunks that have fallen out. Finding an original that is fairly intact, even with surface craquelure, is a plus. Congratulations on a fantastic pen.
A great pen! Yours is at least a second year, so it's from 1928 or a little later, because it has the very thin white bands on either side of the color band on the cap. A really wonderful example!
Love how the nib looks like the piece surrounding an old-style, I want to say old-style but I'm not sure of the proper term, keyhole with a crack in it.
I bought something similar from my local car boot market. Different colour but similar design, it's a dull yellow. I also got a Eclipse streamline pencil in brown and gold with thin black horizontal lines. Really nice design.
The Great Depression had something to do with it. This pen was made from 1927-1929. Modern pens can flex but these nibs were forged not rolled. They have a nice bounce back!

I’ve tried dip pens that were more flexible but this is the smoothest fountain pen I have ever tried

I made one recently that does 9mm of flex consistantly, with a feed system that can keep up
