let me translate this for you free of charge: the short cable with black and red wires (red-positive; red/black-GND) is needed to supply power (12V) to your reverse camera from the reversing lights (not from ANY 12V source). for peace of mind insert a 200 mA fuse just in case someone is pulling/cutting/damaging your camera power supply cable so the car fuse for the reversing lights will not blow. the long black cable is the video signal cable. you connect this one to the camera on one end and to the "rear view camera in" on the other end. now, there is a red wire running inside this video cable. IF YOU HAVE CANBUS there is no need to connect this wire to the "back" wire. I've got a 2007 mazdaspeed 3 I hooked up the backup camra to the switch power from the reverse light. then ran the video signal to my headunit there is no input that says "back" so I assume I've got a cambus system but it doesn't switch when I put the car in reverse

You can also add icon to your homescreen for the A/V app and start it manually if you don't have power line with your AV cable.

Thanks for your videos, but i'm having a problem installing a reverse camera on a joying 5.1.1 unit! My car uses a canbus box but he doesn't detect I've engaged the reverse gear and doesn't switch to the reverse camera..
if i disconnect the canbus box and power the orange wire manually it shows the camera image but with a triangle and an exclamation mark.

Does this still apply to current units? Can i connect the back camera to constant 12v so it is always on with the car on and have the trigger wire (on headlight) activate the unit (with back wire) ?

hi I got an S160 unit, for my Kia Sportage, the rear view does work, but not the proximity sensors.... is there any way to view and hear the distance and alerts?
The distance and alerts according to your camera. Also can set it in the settings.
My car (VW golf 7) has canbus so no need to do the red cable as you suggested. But do i still need to connect the other red wire to the (in your video orange) back wire?

there is a lot easier way to do this ...just run the red cable that is connected to the yellow cable to the acc wire going between headunit and wireharness then on the other side of the cable ,you should be good as long as your ground is good

The front camera is a USB connector, just connect to the unit USB port is ok. The joying front camera is work like this, for the other brand i cannot make sure. Now Joying head unit already optimized the overheating problem.

About the rear view camera, when you connect the cables well, and then when you reverse your car and then the unit screen will show the reverse image. What camera do you use ? And have you connect the cables correct ? Pls check our unit only support the PAL and NTSC model universal camera, just follow this video to connect the cables

Hi friend I would like to add a front parking camera if I use a Y splitter to the RCA output of the stereo to allow me to have another connection and then I use a switch to power give power on the front camera do you think it works please?
I am afraid it cannot. About the front camera you can feel free to connect a DVR front camera is better. About the rear view camera installed in the front. It is only can show the image when you reverse the car. And it cannot show two different image(front and rear) at the same time.
My idea was using an rca splitter then when the car is in reverse obviously shows the reverse image and when you want to see front image just use a switch to give voltage on the camera. What do you think?
I am afraid it cannot do that. If you want to see the reverse image, you just install a rear view camera is OK. If you want to check the front image or video, you can just install a DVR front camera, that is OK.

I just bought and have installed a Joying 8" In Dash Car Stereo GPS Navi Radio Single 1 DIN BT Detachable head unit USB from you and have done the install in a 2002 Corvette up to trying to get the reverse camera to transmit a picture to the screen when I put the car in reverse. Here is my situation. I have a wireless back up camera - the sending unit is mounted in the back of the car and connected (properly) to the reverse lights for power to both the camera and the wireless transmitter. The receiving unit is located in the car by the radio head unit and attached to the radio power and ground for powering the wireless receiver. There is no "reference" wire in this application so nothing is connected to the orange "back" wire. I have the RCA lead connected to the Reverse Camera input on the wiring harness. When I put the car in reverse I get nothing. So to check to see if everything is connected properly I moved the RCA lead from the wireless receiver to the Video input in the back of the radio, put the car in reverse to give power to the camera and went to the video in button and turned it . I get the back up view from the camera. So, I know I have power to the camera and I have power to both the sending and receiving wireless units to transmit the picture from the camera. So simple question - what do I need to do to get the camera to come on when I put the car in reverse and have it connected to the reverse camera input lead from wiring harness.

Hello I am trying to get the kit for 2004 Camry (Part #JY-TL147) and the reverse camera (From carjoying.com). The car has no canbus or JBL AMP. Does the rear camera need to plugin to the reverse light for power ? Or the Joying unit will supply power to the camera ? Do I need to buy any additional accessories to make this process work ? Thx.

I see. I got confused around 2:45 in the video when you made the connection to an power adapter looking thing. Correct me if I am wrong : The reverse camera gets its power from the headunit and no need to attach it to the reverse lights or any other power source.

For our car radio can support the PAL and NTSC model rear view camera, just followed the video to connect, also can works. Does your car radio is from JOYING ?

reversing by mistake the red wire positive pole with the camera negative pole and negative pole with positive camera pole will damage the camera..by mistake switch the poles. And I do not know if I damaged it...

Joying universal car radio cannot support the OEM Backup camera directly, if you can buy a suitable adapter for it, then it will work.
