  • Day at Emma Long Park on Lake Austin. Still learning how to use Gopro. Just made a new top loader intake grate to try and eliminate some cavitation issues. Intake helped but going to fab a new one to try next. Boat is still work in progress.

OK yeah I do remember watching that video now definitely you know what you’re doing and have done a ton of work and I’m not real big on trying to make videos so I can’t talk on anybody’s video style but it would be nice to have a little bit of information about what was going on as each step was going on even if it’s a simple voiceover like how did you mount the ski fiberglass to the aluminum? And did I see Coosa board may be going in? I’m in the process of building mine right now but I’m using a vintage fiberglass boat and the fiberglass JetSki work together well and pretty much doing my research by studying these videos. Again it ain’t bad work looks great just leads me to a lot of questions though?

@@zacharywinters9413 Yeah I'm no video guy for sure! Yeah wish I knew how to edit it with voice and describe what going on. The build video is just basically the year of about 1000 pics I took building it and used imovie on phone to make. I used sika flex to glue and seal plate to boat, but plate is also bolted to the aluminum plates I welded to hull. You can use 3m 5200 also but depending on which you buy it takes days to dry. If i had it to do over I would have just built a jet pump out of aluminum. I plan to build another boat soon. Since your building out of fiberglass boat and fiberglass ski you would just need to get fiberglass supplies and glue together. There also a lot of info and build pics on Facebook Groups like Jetski-jon boat or franken jetjons or mini jet builds.

@@SELFMARINE Nice man 5200 is definitely a forever watertight and yeah just doing the polyester on the inboard and Cusa areas and then flipping over I use Epoxy resin and 1708 fiberglass matting throughout the bottom stronger and longer lasting and then I’ll fill primer and Epoxy two-part paint eventually. I would love to weld up an aluminum as they are so much tougher but I had a bunch of supplies for my sailboat project in the past and found a old boat for $250 that I didn’t mind cutting up I hope to do the same when it comes time to try and make a video just gotta learn how to edit ha ha ha.
