I just have to say, I'm about to graduate with my Bachelors in Business. Over the course of COVID, school has been fine, but my Statistics Class is my 2nd to last class before graduation (I'm taking it now.) It sucks. Absolutely sucks. No contact with teacher, nothing. Just Statlab and thats it.. Makes 0 sense. Until I found your videos! You are a god send. Thank you so much, you made statistics easier for me and dang near fun.

You are a godsend. All my teacher does is check parsons statlab, and I hate them. I watch your videos to determine how to use statlab and what tests to click on. PLEASE continue the good work.

You're most welcome. Too many profs simply collecting paychecks is the reason why I started this channel.

I hear ya, dog. I felt the same way after finishing my stats class as an undergrad all those years ago. I had an unexpected return to stats in grad school because it was either that or take another class offered only in one section once a year at 7:30 am. Yeah, I took the stats. And it made a little more sense the second time around, but I still was happy to leave it behind.
Then eventually I found myself in a job that required me to use stats every single day. And I saw how POWERFUL it was. It was the most useful math class I had ever taken, and as an engineer I've taken a bunch of math classes. That experience turned me around. I'd love to replicate that for my students, but the challenge is that you need to use the stats in practical applications before you can get to that level of appreciation that would make learning it more enjoyable, but you can't use it until you learn it, and there's the Catch-22. It's a real chicken and egg problem.
So yeah, I totally understand wanting to walk away from it. But I wouldn't close the door forever. There's lots more to this stats business than what you learn in an introductory course. And many instructors teach it so poorly it's highly unlikely their students would ever know such a perspective exists at all. They simply walk away with a bitter taste in their mouth swearing, "Never again!"

@@AspireMtnAcademy Wow, I'm surprised you replied to me. lol. I wish you could be my professor because as you have said, most teachers teach it poorly. Our stats class was basically "We're going to talk about it for 1 hour and 15 minutes in class and then you go home and do the homework", which really didn't help me at all. Math was never my strong suit, and lately it has been the high demand because I am going into Cyber Security. Calculus and Stats are my enemies. I'm really hoping I get someone like you in the future who can really open my eyes to math, because I absolutely hate it. I feel like when I think I understand something and I try it out, I bomb my test and it just takes all of it longer to stick in my head than normal. lol. I continue to watch your videos because I like how you explain things and break down the problem in a very uncomplicated way. I feel like a lot of teachers just explain the process too in depth and I get extremely lost, and I have to try and understand what they are going on about. Thank you for that information though! I am really trying to tolerate and learn to love math in a way...Hopefully one day it just clicks and math becomes an easier street for me.
