You know his contender fight has the same loop and after you knock him down with the loop you just have to counter his get up attack, star punch and it's an instant KO.

I tried beating him in the NES version, and he’s like super hard to beat, because he never attacks on his own, and he always waits for you to attack him first, which then he blocks(which will cost you stamina) and then follows with a counterattack, and when you run out of stamina, he’ll then do a long rush attack against you that’s hard to dodge!
It’a an upgrade, but still no biggie. I know how to do the Infinite, but just for fun, I decided to fight for the Stars instead of the Infinite. The timing is difficult, but I got the hang of it and actually won despite suffering one knockdown. That I would say, is unavoidable.
If there's ever a chance for you to visit Spain again, aim for Castilla La-Mancha, Andalucía, Murcia or Extremadura... That's the real Spain, without any of the urban trash that Barcelona and Madrid are...
We need a really tall Dutch guy in the next punch out game. We also need an Australian guy with a pet kangaroo. But bring back all fighters from previous punch out games. Also add a cowboy from Texas and a viking from anywhere in Scandinavia.
since punch out is a game where aran ryan exists i actually thought of a australian boxer so: He is a child. (starting off very strong) but he doesnt fight first, his kangaroo fights first, then after a knockdown the kangaroo will be out the ring and he will continue, not much really (also yes the kangaroos knockdown affects his 3 lives aswell) Title Defense: He will go first know but the kangaroo will be jumping around to distract, and will eventually stop to punch you, the punch will happen anywhere under 30 seconds after that, the kid will switch places in the other round the same goes on for the contender then

NintendoInABox A pallet swap is when the same sprite is used with different pallets. In Flamenco and Joe's case, they share the same body sprite, but have different head sprites and color pallets. Punch Out stores the head sprites separately from the body sprites.

There's also the aerosol he sprays himself with in Contender, as it can make his body slippery and the scent can be disorienting to his opponent. When performing his backhand, he briefly shows his back, which is seen as throwing the fight and isn't allowed. The rose thing happens before the fight, and would be allowed under entrance theatrics as long as it leaves the ring before the fight begins.
If this game was racist the following would be true 1.) The characters would speak in gibberish or broken English to make them look stupid 2.) There would be clear biases in terms of which countries are made fun of and which aren't 3.) They would all be far less silly and cartoonish if the creators genuinely thought stereotypes were true
I played the NES version of punch out on an emulator, and he was the first opponent that actually gave me any real trouble, that is until I realized he had only one attack, can't wait for our second encounter

If this game was racist the following would be true
1.) The characters would speak in gibberish or broken English to make them look stupid
2.) There would be clear biases in terms of which countries are made fun of and which aren't
3.) They would all be far less silly and cartoonish if the creators genuinely thought stereotypes were true
And if you look at Bear Hugger, he's almost every Canadian stereotype put into one person... and the devs behind this game are Canadian themselves.
Thankfully none of these are true, so we can enjoy our funny and likeable characters :)
