Thanks for the clip. In dual carriage way you undertake at least three cars on the right lane. Can you explain why please?

What about 12.10 when you undertake the cars. Especially the White one that has just passed you. Is that not high risk ? There was nothing to gain as you were approaching lights.

Good question/observation. My intention wasn't to undertake rather stick to speed limit. It would be more dangerous to be too slow with open road infront. You can safely undertake if the cars on your right are too slow. Secondly traffic lights were at a distant for me to be dragging along on a dual carriageway

@@FMDRIVINGSCHOOL My thoughts were that the White car had just passed you and could have easily moved Left at the point you started to pass. As you would have been in his blind spot.I don’t see it being dangerous to ease off on a 40mph single carriageway for a few seconds to establish his intentions I.e a conformation Right signal. I would have thought just good awareness and planning

Do you really need to apply the handbrake all the time you stop at traffic signs? I pretty much since I started driving automatic I never did this. I usually use the footbrake for that, only use handbrake, neutral when stopping the car on the side of the road

This depends on the teaching method. Some instructors teach without and some with. From my experience we prefer to teach with h/b so foots ready on gas to move off as well as save a potential major fault if rolled back. If your driving auto then this way won't suit you as break is sufficient
