Creta was always a good car and my family owns the 2020 version. But I always wished that it was more safety rated in GNCAP tests and the front and back styling was a bit more better. One of the major reasons we bought Creta 2020 was because of its diesel engine. This Creta is the perfect car if it scores 5 stars in GNCAP ratings.
Nice car. But I personally don't desire this segment at all. I don't know if I am the only one. As a compact crossover owner (XUV 300), I look at cars like XUV 700, Safari as upgrades and not cars like Creta, Seltos and Elevate. These might be the immediate next segment to the car I have but I don't see much of a value addition they will do to what I own currently. Just giving the perspective of a compact crossover owner
Remember. These are compact crossovers too. They aren't big by any means. The XUV700 size is the midsize class by international standards, where things like the RAV4 and CR-V sit. We have the XUV, Harrier and Innova in that class here. And they offer the space you need if you have the budget. The sub-4's are small hatches, basically. I am 6'3". My brother is too. We don't fit behind each other in a Creta. We do in an XUV700, and that to me is the cutoff. Being able to carry 4 full size adults in comfort. These compact crossovers cannot really do that.
The bridge between a compact SUV like the XUV300 and the midsized SUVs like the Creta and Seltos has widened over the past few years. Nevertheless, stepping up the XUV700/Safari segment is always a good thing

Need a feedback. You've driven both the Vitara 1.5( NA) and the Creta 1.5( NA). Which one picks up better? You may refer to the base versions. My drive includes trip to Darjeeling, every 15 days .
On the Driving position I think additionally there us no leg space as the Automatic gear panel eats up a lot of space. You have to sit upright as you cant relax your left leg . Very uncomfortable for long rides 😢
Am I wrong or did Hyundai remove the Air Purifier with the facelift? I know it's mentioned in the video that it's there, but I cannot see it (here, or in other videos).
Awesome review as always,i am sure most of us follow EVO india solely because of your journalism and the way you present. Will be lovely if you can review the 2023 SAFARI yourself one more time on this channel.
It does have been loaded with perfect package for our Indian Customers. If it scores 5 Star Safety Rating it might silence many of Creata Critics. Alongwith cousin Seltos in the SUV Segment both will continue to dominate with over 40-50% market Share in Midsize SUV segment of Vitara-Hyryder, Elevate, Kushaq-Taigun, Astor,...... etc. No other Midsize SUVs offers 3 - Options in Engines 1.5 NA, 1.5 Turbo Petrol, 1.5 Turbo Diesal and 4 Gearbox options MT, iMT, TC & DCT. Until Elevate, Kushaq-Taigun offers same feature list they will both be leaders of the Segment. .
With this product they have raised the bar higher. There’s no car to beat the Creta in its segment. All other brands are working for the second position only. First position is already taken.
Hi @evoIndia, i heard that the air purifier has been removed from the new Creta. Could you confirm that please? I see in the video you said that new Creta has a Air Purifier
For me hyundai is playing the build quality trick, they had compromised on the build initially, now with the elavate and VW selling well, they had to work their structure. To save their face. Intrestingly the Verna got 5 stars with structure unstable, in the gncap, don't know whether what will the Bncap say about the latest seltos or creta, I don't know whether they will talk about the structure in the crash test.
now this has made wake up and take notice - the safety bit and supposed structural rigidity.. but I am looking for a larger car, so the wait is on for Alcazar now
@@evoIndia I think it’s a great car but I have been putting off purchase due to concerns about its build quality vis-a-vis crash test and the diesel engine seems inadequate to me and the kind of running I have, petrol does not make a lot of financial sense.. so the second wish seems like a pipe dream with diesel engines towards their EoL globally.. but a similarly powered diesel plant as the 1.5 turbo would have been great.. but then I think if the design is right and the structural rigidity proven, I have no qualms going for the turbo petrol despite a higher running cost

I feel like now that Hyundai finally goes for safety, the cabin has to suffer a little bit, with the plastics they use and the blatant absence of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
