Dimash presented a song with a Kazakh folk instrument at the Grand opening of the International Competition of Young Performers "New Wave-2021" in Sochi, Russia.

The idea to add kobyz to the new song came to Dimash after he first heard the melody "Stranger". He decided that the folk instrument would fit perfectly into the song, giving it an exciting sound. The performer of the kobyz part is Olzhas Kurmanbek.

I was given to understand this song was a song about refugees and having to leave there homeland and start all over again in a "strangers land". I cried because I had to start over in a place I didn't know. Anyone who's ever list their home and had to start over understands this.

Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way” The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre. 🔝🔝

To be fair, going from really high to really low is a LOT easier than the other way around.
That's why Diva Dance is so impressive. In the rest of his performances, he gives himself room to ascend over a full phrase.or it's a smaller jump like in Opera 2

We told you so. Lol. He xan actually sing the Diva Dance, the blue alien song from the movie 5th Element. Check out Dimash Diva Dance Bastau. He can also do very fun work like his MV Be With Me and very serious work as in his original composition The Story of One Sky. It deals with war. He composed the music , wrote the script, sang every note [ unbelievable stuff] and does the acting which will have you emotional if not in tears.

Watching you again on this reaction, and still love it. I don't mind your pauses as I do most of the other reactors, because you really have something to say. Most of them will ask " Did you hear that?" What kind of question is that? I hope you will listen to the other performances of Dimash from The Singer 2017. Especially, The Show Must Go On, Adagio, Daybreak ( which he sang while being ill with a severe sore throat and fever), Unforgettable Day, and Confessa/ Diva Dance. Keep in mind he was only 22 then and the only non-professional and youngest performer on the show. BTW, love the hat too.

It's his perfection with his vocals that makes him so unique. He is just magical to listen to and to watch.
I have to say your hatred of phones out during his concerts is a bit strange to me. There are so many fantastic fancam footage of his performances and to have that to keep and keep looking at after a live concert is amazing and just takes you back to the moment. Dimash himself also encourages his audience to use their phones on times to have their lights on during some songs, such as All By Myself. It adds to the performance for him too in those circumstances. It's 2023 and people record things!!
Anyhow, Dimash continues to improve all the time as he never stops working and rehearsing every day. He still works with his teachers whenever he is able to which shows the level of his dedication to his profession.
