Hey man, thanks for mentioning that external tank is just a factory BMW part... I believe it's actually a power steering reservoir... VRP wants like $178 bucks for the split cooling kit now which is hootenanny absurd when the tank is the main thing you need and it's literally under $20. Definitely going to piece my own kit together.
I really appreciate that you're giving us actual data that shows a benefit (or not) instead of just saying "this mod should make an improvement" or "I think the car feels faster". What kind of OBD dongle and tablet are you running DashCommand on to monitor IAT's? I live in a hot climate as well and definitely need some effective cooling mods on my E55.

I got it from Amazon. You should just need a Wi-Fi one not a Bluetooth
So i am planning to do this modification and my question is do we need to add any extra pump for that? Because when i show the mechanic he said to add a extra pump

Yes there is a in and out It is from a bmw 335i. Or just type in bmw power steering res on Amazon
So is the line with the bleeder on it the supply or return?

I have tested stock with a cone filter. I got a video on my CZcams
@@Nd_72 yeah I saw that one. The open mushroom filter on the throttle body. I originally had this Intake but sold it and went back to using stock boxes with k&n drop in filters. I wish i tested on the dyno with both while tuning.. just wondering if you have tested this one vs stock

Data has shown that there is no benefit to moving it in front of the grill. A lot of extra work for no reason tbh. Nice results though.
