Ok so hear me out: radiant virtue illaoi support is actually amazing, since you really need the extra stats (on a cd) on a support budget. The extra healing makes her tankier than people expect, especially when combined with conqueror. Add a steraks gage to that as well and you're the toplane raidboss on a support budget, while also giving your team a massive heal because you'll be around 4 to 5 k hp late game.

I'm too bad at the game to tell if this is trolling...
I'm not sure the CD on Illaoi are short enough to get all 3 stacks on your supp item on time tho, especially if you miss an ability from time to time.
The gameplay you're describing sounds like karma : insane damage early, resistant to ganks, can make it harder to farm, but at least in the late game you're an enchanter. I dunno, I'm worried to try it out.

the difference between Karma and Illaoi is that Illaoi's E is an hp-based damage skill compared to Karma's ap-scaling skill so it caters to alot of defensive champions and Illaoi's E has wider zoning area than Karma since tentacles are really annoying to deal with.

I think he meant healing that can be cast on other champions. Illaoi only heals herself
