But for some reason, mages are always depicted as having long robes that inhibit movement, that stand in one place casting magic, and shit. Like, bruh, if magic did exist like that, you'd have so many mages who would be fit as fuck, learning to cast mid combat, while moving around, and whatnot, and how to use magic in close combat, so they're not useless at anything that's not mid range or long range.

      @auqanova Pƙed 2 lety +6

      i mean, her method takes a lot of skill, that standing and casting doesnt need. someone else just making ice shields and shooting lightning bolts could easily live their whole life without being harmed or threatened. syphas honestly beyond overkill, because her basic magic is enough for anybody who doesnt plan on taking on 40 highly skilled vampires/night creatures at once. i think youd end up with a lot more people like the old dude isaac killed, someone who you need an army to get close to, and then when you are close, he can still one shot you if you arent also a prodigy.
      i reckon most mages probably mostly fight humans who have no magic, with the occasional other mage. besides even alucard says rule one of fighting vampires is to never get close. hell you could just do the sypha ice elevator for a few meters and then any human without a bow or magic is rendered worthless. syphas probably the equivalent of a tank crewmember who has a gift for swordfighting, like yeah its cool, and helpful if youre ever in that situation, but if you do your job right that never happens.
      but sypha is also so much more fun to watch than any conventional mage, and thats what really counts.

    Aside from the absolutely insane animation and the epic battles, the thing about this episode that sticks out for me, is seeing just how far Trevor has come since his first appearance. When we first met Trevor, he was a drunken drifter, extremely jaded with other people, due to the excommunication and persecution of his family. Despite this, he was still unable to walk away from those in need. Here, in this episode, after many battles, Trevor fully embraces his destiny and fulfilled his duty as a Belmont.

      @@grunt9950 Season 2 designs were changed because Perriot was doing the animation and thats when everyone noticed the quality decline. Mir came back the 2nd half of season 2 and brought Korra back to its former quality. Also simpler designs means more animation friendly. Castlevania is very much animated like an anime, when nothing important is happening (mainly fight scenes) characters barely move if at all, that is not something Korra falls into they don't compromise on animation. Yes Castlevania has amazing and detailed artwork but it is too detailed and not animation friendly which is why even when stuff starts moving for a fight a lot of the fights are on 3's and even 4's. Castlevania sacrifices animation for its art a lot of the time. I can't recall any point in Korra aside from the first half of s2 where I thought wow this looks choppy or yeesh that could have used a few more inbetweens. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Korra doesn't have some stuff on 3's or that animation on 3's or 4's is bad, a lot of it is amazing and there's plenty in Castlevania that's on 2's and 1's aswell but if we're talking about pure animation production Korra wins overall.

    Trevor learned well: " Leon: "I have the power to destroy all related to the vampires. Though you have divine powers, you are no exception."
    Death: "Unfortunately for you, as long as my master survives, I will rise from the dead..."
    Leon: "I see. Give him this message: You have become a cursed being and I will never forgive you. This whip and my kinsmen will destroy you someday. From this day on, the Belmont Clan will hunt the night."

    Bro Varney being the woman and Death was probably one of the most interesting and amazing plot twists I've seen in a while. They've been talking about the aspect of death throughtout the season but I don't think anyone expected for Death to literally show up.
