- Dicky Betts' instrumental tour de force "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" was first recorded on the Allman Brother's second studio album, Idlewild South. It was also featured on their next album and first live album, At Fillmore East. It was named after a headstone that Dickey had seen in Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia.

Playing today In Memory of Dickey Betts, RIP
Well, that was a fun play along. I'm sweaty. I'll come back to this track again and again!
This was a big help for learning Greg's B3 part - thanks!
Great track. Love having the fuller, jazzier chords rather than the simplified ones you often see.
Really Amazing Track
Wonderfull track,very profesional.
The dru.m/percussion sound
is quite good.!
Started working on this piece,and
when i came across your track
it inspired me to devote more
"precision" to this
masterpiece!
Thankyou.
Fantastic! Thanks
Best one yet...
Great backing track!
Great jam!!
Unbelievable performance.
Well done, saved.
Nice
Great backing track to practice Dorian chops over, thanks!
It's also worth experimenting with mixing different minor modes a la Dickey Betts.
@@WeepingWillowGuitarLessons yes, good advice- I suppose minor pentatonic, natural minor scale and Aoelian too?
@@midrider335 And Harmonic Minor as well. I personally think less of individual modes and more of how to alter the Dorian Mode. I base the solo out of Dorian, and then add in the b5, the major 7th, the b6. It's a nice way to add some "darker" colors in there.
@@WeepingWillowGuitarLessons I will definitely explore that, thanks for the info!
This is killer. What do we have to do to get a whipping post backing track in the style of Filmore east?
Dude... seriously? You put an ad in the middle of a backing track? Way uncool.
deal part 3?
Genial! thanks a lot for this cosmic trip...a lot of work ....really...good vibrations and inspiration...acid music for the new world
I love your transcriptions. Doing god's work. Is there any way to request a certain solo? Id' be happy to pay you for your effort.
You can request whatever you'd like - just leave a comment. No promise if and when I'll be able to get to it, but I do look into all requests and recommendations.
@@WeepingWillowGuitarLessons Totally understand. The solo I was hoping to request was the first solo from Scarlet Begonias - 06/23/19
