Love the new camera angles, especially the side one which shows your monitor and that awesome sketch.
Coming to MW3, the in game event was really cool, the trailer/promotional material was done exceptionally well, the gameplay trailer gave me goosebumps, the dark gritty aura really got to me, perfect score on that.
A LOT of new things were dropped, them increasing the pace of the game was always needed. New weapons and gunsmith system is always cool. Also a brilliant move to have your cosmetics transfer over to the next game. All in all, not a bad reveal.
All good things are followed with a "but", they ntroduce new things (in this case bringing back some old things which were honestly needed in the current game) and release awesome promotional material which makes people immediately fall for the pre-order button, I do hope the new changes are enough to make this a good game, BUT my inner skeptic senses keep tingling, we've seen this, we've been here before, we can clearly see the bad parts about the current game we're playing, something I fear will transfer over to the next game as well. They refuse to address the server issues, and it doesn't matter if the new game is a flashy, brand new experience if the issues from the past keep plaguing it.
I still get packet bursts immediately when I enter gun fights, I still hear no audio when a person carrying 30 pounds of gear comes sprinting at me on the ground or drops in from the heavens above, there's still no explanation as to how or why we still face a discrepancy between TTK and TTD. My inner skeptic can't help but feel careful about any investment, most importantly, a time investment which is a precious resource, into this franchise. I'd much rather be a skeptic than fall prey to flashy promotional material.
My verdict, I'm just gonna wait for you to play the beta, cause it's only through you that I get to enjoy the game, so it would be the smarter choice. Your content and coverage on this game is top notch and I appreciate it a lot. In the mean time, I'm happy with my single player titles, titles where I know for a fact I'm getting my time and money's worth

The reason we have some info earlier is because MW3 is just the final release of MW2 lol greed won out and they dropped an unfinished project and MW3 is that finished project.

Great breakdown Fyr. Pretty excited! But I’ve been playing primarily DMZ, so we’ll see. Adriano was looking back today and with WZ2.0 it wasn’t announced until much later. Maybe they’re doing the same here.
We’ll see, but DMZ wasn’t announced till later because it hadn’t existed before, this is, for me, at least 90% sure that there will be no DMZ this year

I’m excited, but if they don’t fix servers, again, most of this won’t matter. We need an overhaul to the whole matchmaking system. I’ve played in nonstop packet burst lobbies for 4 straight days.
Servers are still in such a bad spot, I hope they do too
