You're not transphobic for saying the father must miss his 'daughter' per se, cause it's true. Parents often can't accept change as quickly, just like humans, but it's definitely quite insensitive to have said that as if the son didn't go through a lot just to come out.
We're just strangers on the internet though, so let's just hope that dad will come around and love his son like he did before.
