  • With a redesigned #ChevroletColorado arriving for 2023, the 3rd generation introduces a new value packed off-road trim called the #ColoradoTrailBoss. The #TrailBoss and #ColoradoZ71 represents the more rugged trim until the #ZR2 arrives later this year. A new frame and 2.7L turbo engine make this one of the most powerful and capable midsize truck on the market.

    I hit a tree branch with my SUV with LED projector head lights last year and cracked it while driving on the back road. It was a few thousand dollars to replace.
    Those headlights may not be super effective, but definitely way cheaper to replace. Considering Trail Boss is built for the trail, it is the right type of lights

      In 2023 with the excessive costs of all these vehicles it should be mandatory to have LED headlights! My 2015 Toyota Corolla for $17,000 had STANDARD LED Lights! This is Cheap Cost cutting at its finest!

    • @Jay-bw3fl
      @Jay-bw3fl Před rokem +8

      The led lights only cost more because they know you want them and they can get away with charging it not because they’re more expensive to manufacture.

      The regular head lights look more rugged than the LED ones so I’m actually ok with it. What’s really cheap is that the back has bulb lights too. Those should be standard LED.

      @@klasseact6663 Maybe there is a setting if you have a newer vehicle to turn the lights on when the wipers are on. In my truck if the wipers are on the lights will come on in 60 seconds of wipers being turned on. Now if i just wipe once to remove some mist they won’t come on. I don’t drive professionally but i could see that being annoying. However for me personally that scenario is rare enough that i could hit the shortcuts at the top of the screen to manually turn the lights on, it wouldn’t be something that happens every drive

    7 seconds to 60 would be fairly respectable, if not for the fact that the previous generation 4x4 with the V6 was actually faster. Not significantly, unless you had the 2WD version with the lower curb weight, which is a low 6 sec 0-60 performer. I can’t really wrap my mind around it except that maybe the new truck is heavier than the previous generation. The two wheel drive version with a lower curb weight should have better acceleration, especially with the high output tune.

They updated the tech, quality, and interior materials where they needed it the most - GM continues to cater more toward existing customers and that’s proven by the small updates they make overtime. They’re priority is addressing issues/complaints from before, and it appears they’ve done that and then some!

    Not sure if it's a configurator issue but if you select the leather seats on the 23 Colorado it won't let you add a bunch of other options. You have to get the cloth seats if you want any of the packages. What's up with that??

    I had a Trail Boss fully loaded ordered with a $1K deposit. A few weeks after I ordered it I wanted to see how far along it was and that is when they told me they were charging $3,700 over MSRP. When they told me that I cancelled the order-I will never pay over MSRP! You already lose your a$$ when buying a new vehicle so no way will I be adding that much more to it's negative equity. I later found out Chevrolet actually sent an email to it's dealer in I think January for them to stop charging over msrp-yet they are continuing to over charge! That is messed up!! So! I went to my Toyota dealership who NEVER charges over MSRP to order a Tacoma, I got super lucky someone ordered a Tacoma and got something else before it arrived so, I got it! It's a TRD Off-Road fully loaded. It's what I originally wanted but I liked the Colorado because it's all new and I would have been the first person in my area to have one. But, I do love the Tacoma and it's reliability will be amazing.

    Nice review, very articulate. This new truck looks good, but I worry about the unsophisticated sounds from a GM four. However, based on your video, it sounds like it might be acceptable.
    Also, every time a switch or knob migrates to a touch screen, I worry. Computers are not reliable and it is less safe than a physical switch when driving.
    Be cool if they offered a big role-back canvas roof and a roll-down window in back.
