My daughter just moved into an apartment. The Weed smell from neighbors was almost unbearable. She purchased the 121… either it got rid or the smell, or she was ready to break the lease. This unit is amazing! Smell is almost gone! She loves it. Runs it on medium most of the time, and when the neighbors go completely nuts with their smoking, she turns it on high. Amazing!
yes so true! I love mine
She missed a opportunity to make great friends.
hello, my neighbor also smoke weed all the time and as early as 6 am and as late as 12 am.... am i m thinking of getting a air purifier too. but want to ask that when the neighbor smoking, and the speed turn high, still need to close the window? or balcony?
I just watched another CZcams video demonstrating 5 air purifiers with actual test results. The large blue air unit performed the BEST!
Conclusion, talk is just talk.
I want actual field testing with real results.
Can you post the link please?
Never mind, I found it. For those interested: czcams.com/video/0uZKBlwLEFs/video.html
I’m fine with 99% personally as I don’t suffer from any respiratory conditions. My main reason for the purchase is to purify the air quality from what it was prior. I’m happy with my purchase!
I have the cylindrical one for my bedroom. I LOVE IT. Thinking of the Winix 5500 for the living room.
That’s my combo lol
@@drakkar_night3346 Yeah. I ended up liking the Winix so much more, that I bought 2 of them and replaced my Blue Air!
@@powerhitter033 same here. Just tried it out today lol. I like the remote, the 4 fan settings, timer, auto mode, plasma wave setting. Although it’s 14 pounds compared to the 2-3 pound blue air, the pros outperform the blue air 411 or 311. I placed vent filters and returned the blue air lol
@@drakkar_night3346 Yeah it is better in every way. I just wish that the night time mode would allow me to shut the lights off of everything but still allow me to control the fan speed and plasmawave.
It is AHAM certified per the description but on closer reading they describe their filter as Hepasilent trademarked filtration technology. Their own version of a HepA filter. Oops. I guess I’ll return this one.
Why don’t you actually test them with equipment? I’m finding your reviews lacking so far.
Me too
Blueair pro Hum and trrrr vibration Sound especially at higher setting almost impossible tO bear .
Their Healthprotect series seems to be the quietest of all and it has variable speed with digital steps and not only 3 steps. Therefore a lot smoother.
I own the blue pure 121 and on high that model seriously moves a lot of air, it’s almost like having a Dyson. Because it moves so much air the air seems much cleaner. I have a Winix c545 and it doesn’t seem to be as impressive as the blueair pure 121.
I’m
Told that if I specifically want to filter cat litter dust and overall cat smells that I would need an air purifier can filter down to .2 microns at the least. I see Blue Air can, is that accurate. Winnix which I got based on the recommendation of this channel (thanks!) does not and cannot. Is that an accurate statement? Would the blue air then be better for my situation?
I am an instant fan of your channel for your detailed inputs. I just like to ask, I am planning to purchase blueair211 since it has good feedbacks on wirecutter and other top website reviews to be used at our 30sqmeter dental clinic but I am still undecided since it does not have the True HEPA rating.
I have a very limited option here in my country, listed products below are some of them.
- Dyson
- Xiaomi 3H
- Coway Breeze/storm
Medify Air is promising, however it is not available here, please advise. :)
My full review for the 211+ is here: czcams.com/video/kJqFrwcqBJo/video.html
Among the 3 options you listed later, I would go with the Xiaomi 3H. Dysons have much lower output and I couldn't find any output information for the Coways.
@@consumer-analysis i would really like a review for xiaomi air purifier, they’re really affordable and available in many places in my country, but i don’t trust their numbers and the information about their filters are vague.
@@consumer-analysis so really looking for review comparison between Xiaomi 3H and blueair 411 as it only couple available in my market and the budget really effect which best performance too, highly thanks for advice
The blueair 211+ filters start to smell like moisture with sour tones after 2 weeks. There have been other videos on it. It is not recommended.
Could you tell me if the BlueAir 605 emits ozone? I am finding conflicting results
I believe it has a built-in ionizer which would cause it to emit ozone. However, the unit is CARB certified, so you can rest assured the emission is negligible: ww2.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/air-cleaners-ozone-products/california-certified-air-cleaning-devices
@@Jason-rs1wr me too...until i read is was CARB certified
Is ion technology recommended?
no
They're all HEPA according to their page? They call it HEPASilent however.
I just read their latest marketing materials (I don't recall seeing the term "HEPASilent" when I first researched and tested these units) and it looks like "HEPASilent™ technology" involves ionization in addition to proprietary mechanical filtration. None of their units use traditional HEPA filters.
@@consumer-analysis Oh ok, thats true, but they tend to win in lab comparisons with other purifiers anyhow :) At least when using HEPASilent, dont know of the others.
Consumer Analysis the blue pure use a hepa type while I believe their other lines use true hepa
Can you please do a video about Xiaomi air purifiers? Should we buy from that brand? If we should, which model would be better? Thanka in advance.
I will definitely test Xiaomi units in the future.
these look effective...cfm is nothing if it doesn't pull air through the filter.
See lab test on CBC air purifier on you tube.
You should do your homework. I've viewed three videos and two contain factual errors, obvious factual errors. The Sense+ DOES have a HEPA filter. Go look it up. You should retract your video and correct it, like the others with errors. Stop presenting this work as "reviews" -- they look more like you collected information from the internet, copied it into a Word document and then read it as your review. When people don't do good reviews they read from notes because they can't remember what work they didn't do.
The Sense+ doesn't have a HEPA filter. It uses "HEPASilent" technology and has "HEPA performance". I wasn't able to find any documentation that says that it's been HEPA filter certified.
these reviews do look like an unprepared HS powerpoint presentation. There are a few really nice clips showing the filters but that's it. The rest is just rambling on and on without any visual aid. This format would do a whole lot better as a written review, if submitted as a summary of this video mind you.
You should be more careful before throwing stones. The BlueAir website says *nothing* about using an actual HEPA filter, and with a little digging they concede that this is a proprietary filter of their own design - so, NOT a HEPA filter, but worse, now why do you think a company would name it's proprietary non-HEPA filter technology "Hepasilent"? It's a practice clearly intended to mislead or confuse poor saps who don't know the difference. This deceptive approach alone would keep me from doing business with this company. Yes yes, I'm sure all their customers love their BlueAirs. But that's the problem with air purifiers: once up and running, most users have no idea what it's doing and just enjoy the happy placebo effect from believing their air is perfectly clean.
No HEPA filter at this price? No thanks
Why does he sound like he's integrating a Donald Trump impression in there.
I don’t think he is
Sounds like trumps living rent free in ur head
