Once upon a time, there was a peaceful, picturesque little town in Washington State called Twin Peaks. It all started with Laura. Laura Palmer. In this world she was found dead and wrapped in plastic on the rocky beach of Black Lake. Local and Federal Law Enforcement worked tirelessly on the case until the killer, well known local Attorney Leland Palmer was brought to Justice. People of the town were stunned when they heard that Leland had raped and murdered his own daughter, as well as his niece, Madeline Ferguson. The Federal Agent on the case, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper disappeared soon after. Twenty-five years later, the mystery deepened. An alternate time line appeared. Laura Palmer wasn't murdered. She disappeared without a trace. No one is really sure what happened after that. Margaret Lanterman, aka the Log Lady passed away from Cancer, former Sheriff Harry Truman passed away from Cancer. The personalities of people who had lived in Twin Peaks for years changed. Agent Dale/Richard Cooper returned with a young woman named Cassie, a young woman who looked almost exactly like Laura Palmer. 5 years later, I returned to Twin Peaks. The once thriving town was empty, a ghost town. Everyone was gone. The old woods had begun its reclamation of the town. A Deer had made its den inside the old Double R Cafe. Where did everybody go? What happened here? I am searching for clues.
Someone call David Lynch and Mark Frost. If a season four were to get off the ground, this synopsis would be an interesting premise. Additionally, having the town nearly abandoned would make it easier to compensate for the lack of returning characters should the actors succumb to old age.
Of course it was abandoned and eventually left for the woods... You all let the lodge in. You wanted BOB over laura ;) You wanted your Garmonbozia, you wanted your Mr. C, you waaaanted the dark, You wanted it TO DIIIIIIIIE.
