    Stock block 302’s will live longer with over 500whp with a turbo set up! Unlike a supercharger set up. Supercharger set ups pull on the crank causing vibrations all day long making easier for the blocks to crack…seen and read about a couple turbo set ups living at 700whp reliably on stock block 302’s

    Ford designed the low deck Windsor to be light enough for a Falcon and began at 221 cid (the tall deck had more beef). which is why many 289/302's don't want to bore over more than .040 inches. but some "casting mistake" blocks will go .060 over. also, the original firing order set the front cylinders off at the same time, so if you use an older grind of camshaft, plus the different crankshaft weight found in the fuel injected Fox 302's, and then crank down a blower belt on that front crank snout...

      Not to be bashing the Ford platform, but I had a 02 Camaro w/a 403" LS2, and it was making 567hp at the tires, more than my dad's solid roller BBC! Just a mild, hydraulic roller nitrous camshaft, decent heads... nothing special, no fill, aluminum block that's 100lbs lighter than its twin iron block! My new turbo setup, which is a iron 408, Dart Pro1 225's, best valve trane you can get, with a FIS 91/102 turbo. Should make some steam for a streetcar with a/c still! I was steered away from doing a half fill, so I could get more strength, but still run water through the block... 570 is nothing to be ashamed of though, what's the car run..? My 02 went 10.30's on motor, 8.50's on a non-progressed 200 shot! It still made flatline power at 7500rpm, which is where we stopped w/stock lifters! I'm sure your car is about 7-800lbs lighter too!lol

      302s did come in a fox platform in 78 with Faremonts and in 79 mustangs. Which became a HO or 5.0 302 (351w firing order) in the mid 80s.

      The 302 was available in EVERY year of the Fox Body Mustang from 79-93. They were 2bbl carb engines until 83 which was the first year for a Holley 4bbl, but they always had 302's.

      So? 80s and 90s mustangs weren't the only vehicles that got 302s lol. It's still a stock block.

      Last one was 615 i think, RPM heads do not flow all that good (if stock ports) so at the wheels its not that bad but it will make more loaded longer like on the track

      Dyno numbers don't matter. It made over 700 rwhp later in video. It traps alot of mph and likely makes alot more power this is why dyno numbers don't matter.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Před měsícem +1

      @Jojo-ix8tg dyno numbers don't matter and how should it be 1000 easy? Because coyotes do that with modern tech and dohc and alot more rpm? It traps at the track as if it makes far more that is what matters not dyno numbers.
