Thank you. You saved me 20 mins of studying compliance.
How does a negative pressure inside chest wall cause a negative pressure in alveoli?(@4:28)
Great video! It simplifies the relaxation-pressure curve
At FRC both Alveolar and airway pressure =0
But lung pressure =+ve due to inside air
And intrapleural pressure =-ve
I think they are very good, thanks for the contribution to the site.
A point to remember is that lung pressures are measured in Cm H20 instead of mmHg, but thanks for the video!
if pressure is inversely proportional to volume , how does this graph make sense
Thank you for your amazing videos
Your videos are very helpful in my physiology modules! I wish you were my professor!
I've had a breathing problem for 18 years. My FRC is 59%, and I'm due to go back. Any ideas? Slightly over-weight, but not a lot.
0:45 well the compliance of the lung is never negative yes, but there is no negative compliance at all.
The slope of the curve is the compliance, what you mean is the transorgan pressure...
awesome!
thanks this was very helpful
Hello, I am having problem understanding the concept.
I was studying that during *inspiration* the intralveolar pressure drops from +1mmHg --> -1mmHg (therefore BECOMES NEGATIVE)
and the intrapleural pressure goes from -3mmHg --> -6mmHg (therefore, ALWAYS NEGATIVE)
so I don't get it!!!
Very Helpful!!!
Thank you🫁
Can u please make a video describing the volume and pressure changes during normal respiration.
Thank you
thanks again

Can't hear you
it kinda threw me off how she sed the lung is never negative but yet has a red line on the negative side
FRC cant be zero
thank you
Thank you honey
the lung will have a pressure of 0 at frc not a + one
Horribly explained!
NOT helpful.
your accent and your thought jumps makes it difficult to understand sometimes
Thank you
