I am a woodworker and a musician...there are no words for how stunning this piece is. This master woodworker never fails to do gorgeous work but also work that is not the same each time. And the filmmaker deserves equal applause...usually we get either a great build video or great visual film making...but here we get both. Thank you both for this.
Spectacular. I've yet to watch a single build that hasn't left me a mixture of slack-jawed, envious and full of admiration for the skills on display. This is art. "Ganbatte!"
I've been watching all your videos in the order they were posted, and this is my favorite of all I've seen yet. I love the contrasting materials, the sensible engineering, the elegance of design. I love functional art.
Simply the best on CZcams. A demonstration of woodwork with surgical precision. It would be nice to see a video with the errors in the building process. It will not take away from the excellent craftsmanship.
Everytime i watch one of your videos I always feel the emotion from the piece of furniture. I usually never from anywhere else, but your work speaks to me with heart and soul. Great job as always
The elegance of style and the performance of your artistry is both relaxing and inspiring. The camera work is wonderful, capturing you and your work in harmony.
Just beautiful. Watching all your videos last 3 days.. every video and build is great 👍 Thankyou, your videos are both soothing to watch and meticulous work is inspiring
Wow. I want to say so many things but Ill stick to just being simple & restate the elegance, precision and attention to detail that is signature proof of your work. Thanks for letting us be moved by your generosity to share it with us.
Its just a peice of art, who would not want this in their living room just to look at? I know a little wood work, but if I tried to copy this it would look nothing like his. The master is at work, and I am but the heel of the trunk, that holds itself on in readyness for Ishitani to create and draw out the beauty and skill from wood, that has waited for him to pick it up and fashion it with his hands. I like his little dog it too seems so perfect!
It somehow is like watching Bob Ross painting. You always wonder, what he does and what he will do next and in the end it all merges so perfectly. Thank you!
American woodworkers: you gotta make all these beveled jigs so you can make your kumiko parts using hand tools in a quiet, sunlit shop with soft acoustic guitar music in the background, because that’s how the Japanese do it. Ishitani: [fires up table saw] Hold my beer. As always, your work is breathtaking.
Alan Falleur I guess you haven’t seen all the stuff on Fine Woodworking and elsewhere featuring hand cut kumiko panels then. It’s really impressive, and it doesn’t actually take them long...most tout the tranquil nature of the work.
Your house must smell so good. EDIT: OK. Your talent is mind blowing, its obviously God-given, to Him be the glory! Where do your ideas come from? And you are very young, how long have you been doing this, since you were 8 years old or something? ;-) You have an astonishing repertoire, and seem to have the skills of someone much older than yourself, like someone who's been doing this stuff for much longer than you! Quite amazing! Gorgeous!
i was totally expecting it to look heavy and poorly scaled due to the nature of wood compared to typical metal stands but it looks perfectly weighted and properly delicate! amazing as usual i was wrong to doubt your skill ishitani.
A beautiful piece my friend. Attention to detail is at the top tier. I have always loved Japanese cabinet making and woodworking in general. I lived in Japan for 3 1/2 years when I was a teenager. I wish I would have had the interest to learn the trade back then. Thanks for sharing your talents. Felix
very, very inspiring as always. excellent choice on the brass hardware. you had me worried for a bit thinking you were going with wood to wood friction hold.
Amigo ishitani mi respeto y admiración por tu gran trabajo y dedicación he visto tus videos mas de 100 cada uno, excelente trabajo, un abrazo desde cd valles San Luis Potosí México 🇲🇽
I think the items that makes this wonderful master, will please people for a very long time. Looks nice and reliable. Я думаю, предметы, которые делает этот прекрасный мастер, будут радовать людей очень долго. Выглядит красиво и надежно.

Every single video is a masterpiece to watch. Thank you. ☺️
のこぎりの刃はとてもいい音がします。 とても鋭い。 流れる水のように聞こえます。
Nothing comes close to the quality from this channel. Exceptional work Takumi.
One of the nicest builds so far. Very satisfying to watch.
Your lattice work is both timeless and classic. Simply gorgeous. 💕
That is the Kumiko
Spectacular. I've yet to watch a single build that hasn't left me a mixture of slack-jawed, envious and full of admiration for the skills on display. This is art. "Ganbatte!"
As always beautifully filmed by Chie
Chie is amazing videomaker. Thanks for share.
I watch other channels to learn simple woodworking. I watch this channel because it fills me with awe and peace.
Any musician would be proud to own such artwork.
Until he tried to mark his part.
0:55 is great; "think twice, cut once"

In its simplicity of design it is so elegant and beautiful. The musician who uses this stand should receive inspiration every time they play music.

Wow I think this might be the gayest comment I ever read

@@matthewsaffran1529 if you are going to post a comment in which you embarrass yourself utterly, make sure to post it twice
I've been around lots of music stands in my days, and this is probably the nicest and most functional I've ever seen.
いいですねーイシタニファーニチャー❤
木工系の動画色々見てるけど1番かもしれない!カメラアングルと編集も素敵です。これからも頑張ってください!
You make it look so easy, but it is very difficult. A real joy watching you create something beautiful and useful. Thank You.
A classic piece of art is recognized when it can stand alone in any exhibition - what you have created here I think will be a classic. Good job.

Richard Miller hahahaha truth
His work is masterful! He made his lattice with a jig though.
LMAO. Who would cut that many joints by hand? That would take like 10 hours.

@@richardmiller9154 Yeah, definitely not my thing. Power tools is where it's at.
