I just witnessed your little move. I'm gonna do this same move forever. You placed your scribe at the cut mark, and then pulled your square up to it, then scribed down the square blade. You set the distance from the blade before positioning the square. Ingenious! Thank you for the videos. Beautiful work.

I can imagine delicate, simple screens like that in my grandmother's house.
I can imagine my cousins and I visiting my grandmother, and seeing screens like these leading out to my grandmother's garden.
I can imagine playing with my cousins on my grandmother's lawn. I can see myself being chased by my cousins, and I can see myself accidentally running right through one of those beautiful paper walls.
I can imagine my parents beating me while promising my grandmother that new sliding doors would be purchased with my allowance (I'm older than most of the Gen X crowd - beatings were not only permitted, they were considered essential).
I can imagine being forced to sit in the car by myself.
