Just had this procedure done. Didn't know about the matrix, even though it was used and brought up. The real delight was the shaping and polishing. I mean that, what they do, is art. They build and to think, their work space is the size of inside a tennis ball.

Everyone thinks it's all about brushing, but its not. You have to mineralized your teeth and make sure to get rid of food matter after every meal. You should rinse your mouth out with water everytime you eat to get rid of food particles. And flossing is far more important than brushing. I would recommend a water pik to everyone.
Then why is it that I only started getting this problem after I started flossing regularly, and before I never had an issue and neither did my parents who never really floss?

@@daisykhanna5047 I just had the same exact procedure as well and it doesn’t really hurt, the spacer is the most uncomfortable part but I had two done and it was over within 45 minutes. No meds, no pain after the anesthetic wears off either, only thing pain related was the Novocain that they inject you with so you don’t feel anything

This helped me to calm down about my cavity. Itll be ok. Not my entire molar has to be shaved just a little cus he said its not a huge one
Listen when people tell you soda is bad for your teeth. I've been drinking a lot of soda lately, and now have four of these types of cavities. The dentist said it's because of the acid, so diet soda doesn't make a difference. Please be careful and limit how much soda you drink.
And sugar in the form of drinks or cookies and even chips

I just got 3 teeth filled 2 days ago and it didn’t hurt one bit. They numbed me & I just sat there with my eyes closed chillin’...
My dentist today showed my X-rays to me and pointed to a number of areas that were showing dark in between some teeth. They are of course cavities. Make sure you’re flossing daily. Brushing only reaches about 60% of the tooth surface. By not flossing you’re missing almost half!
I had 4 cavities when I was little and I don’t really remember the pain I felt too much. but now I have 12 cavities mainly in between my teeth and I go in for the first filling tomorrow… I’ve never been more nervous in my life
edit: update i had all of them filled and i actually didn’t feel anything afterwards during a couple of the procedures i wasn’t all the way numb so that wasn’t fun…but i got through it. i do brush my teeth, not flossing enough was the problem and i ate a lot of sticky candy so ill just do better ab that now

@@atv22345 there’s reasons other than brushing as to why people get cavities. I just got 2 because I got my wisdom teeth out and couldn’t floss for 3 months after :( I also have very genetically weak teeth

i had this done today.. idk if mine was just bad or something (i sure hope not because i like to think i take good care of my teeth) but i was in pain the entire time
i'm super afraid of needles and they gave me so many numbing shots for some reason so i was numb for hours and hours after my appointment. obviously i couldnt feel anything during the appointment other than the occasional prick or whatever but the sound of the drill made me feel like it was hurting me lol.. and just 30 minutes ago maybe the numbing stopped and all of the teeth they filled is super sensitive and hurting too, along with my jaw, especially where they gave me those shots.
idk how long i'll be sore for but i hope it's not so long and i hope you don't have as unpleasant of an experience as i'm having lol

@@kittykitty0204 lol do u want the truth? my dentist kinda sucked. even after this long my teeth are still incredibly sensitive, they were before, but now it's even sensitive to hot foods and crunchy items. i mean i'm glad those cavities are gone but i wish the dentist did a better job on me. my coworkers wife used to work at that dentists office and she said that on the exact same day i got my fillings done, that dentist had broke someone's tooth whilst trying to pull it out 😬 so yeah. uh. once again, glad the cavities are gone, but i cannot eat strawberries without immense pain so... yea

I have one of these cavities on my upper row I am getting treated in July and I believe it may be near this exact procedure.
I always tried to floss but evidently I was not flossing thoroughly and was missing spots.
Make sure to learn how to give proper care to your teeth, I wish I did before this.
I 30 years old and got my first cavity and first filling today. The dentist did it without anaesthetic so it feels uncomfortable all the way. I will never ever want to have another cavity and filling procedure ever again 😭

Generally cavity’s are mostly genetics, some people just don’t get them while others can clean 24/7 and get a bunch

I went to a dentist yesterday and I had this case. But I think my dentist didn't do like this procedure and definitely not good. There's still remain decayed tooth left. I was complained about it and she only said it will be fine later on. And now actually I still feel a bit hurt.

I’ve seen some fillings and sometimes they don’t look good( they’ll look silver or gold idk). I had this done in August and my mouth has hurt since. 😞 I keep going back to get the extra filling in between my two teeth shaved down but not having much luck.
I know the saying is brush twice a day.....but I would increase that to either 3 or 4 times a day......with using a water pick twice a day. But that's just me.

I just had this done today & I promise it doesn’t hurt! The only thing you’ll feel are the general anesthesia shots to numb the area & even those are just a couple little pokes

I have a question I was told I have a few cavities including some between my teeth and also that I was grinding my teeth as well. I started my invisalign treatment first and was wondering if I fill the cavities will itaffect how I wear my retainers?
answering my own question lol but my retainers were able to still fit perfectly. He checked how they fit before and after so I was good.

Never visit a dentist unless you're in pain. Why do they even drill teeth when it will eventually be done at later stages in life. A root canal is much better than having cavities filled. It's a scam. Regular visits to dentists means more cavities (even if a tiny dot) and no visit to the dentist means you're safe as long as there is no pain. 😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good lord, please tell me you are joking...you do realize that if you wait too long, a root canal may not even be an option anymore? At best, you'll end up losing the tooth entirely, and at worse, the infection will literally kill you. Dental infections can get extremely deadly extremely quickly--they are not something to fuck around with. And even if you are lucky enough to only need a root canal, the treatment will leave your teeth much weaker and more prone to future damage than healthy teeth. Simple cavities are easier and cheaper to treat, and will leave your teeth in a much better state afterwards. And if the cavity is small enough, it can be treated even without filling.
@@TheGiantMeatCleaver not sure if I should boast about this but I have high pain tolerance. I had a root canal and other cavities. Tbh both are bad but if you don't mind numbing them it's a-okay (this was when I was in Middle School. I learned my lesson)
