BREAKING NEWS, SCOTTY!
RAV4s (2013-2018) are being investigated by the NHTSA. The problem, most likely caused by poor repairs or servicing, has caused fires and failures...
You taco bell toyota don't come longer as rav4
I enjoy watching you, entertaining and educational
Bought a 2006 civic 140.000 miles...automatic trans....if i dont warm up ...slips a tad bit when taking off....should i be worried?...not sure when filter changed..or should i just make sure warmed up properly till cold weather breaks?
I bought a gladiator. I love it. It's rock solid.
Next Video: If You Buy This 96 Celica You're Smart
Only if you paid $200 for it. Otherwise overpriced junk
Or if you buy this Jeep called 96 Celica You are Smart.
Shouldn’t it be ‘94 Celica?
94
96 is the first year of OBD2 so.. One reason the 96 is better than the 94.
A recently married man was in his garage working on his Celica.
His new wife came out and watched him for a few minutes before saying "Now that we are married, you should probably sell that old thing"
Suddenly the mans face went pale and he looked as tho he was going to be sick.
"Are you OK ?, whats the matter" asked his wife.
The man said, "For a moment there you sounded like my Ex-Wife"
"EX-WIFE" the woman shouted, "You never told me you were married before"
"I wasn't" he said.
Bu du Tssssss Classic joke
*Sweating *heavy breathing
I..I..I'm married to both you and my car.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I got it at the second read hahaha lol that’s was a good one 😂
Accept the 2022 Jeep gladiator is universally rated as reliable and low maintenance. Contrary to your fact free rant.
He's rude as hell but thinks it's you who's stupid if you don't share his opinion. Lots watch his videos why I do not know. Can't take anyone serious who goes on a wild rant one day and does a 180 on same vehicle tomorrow. I guess it's all about getting views. With over 6 million subs hes doing something right, in absence of factual information.
I have a gladiator Mojave and I don’t have any issues. I love it.
Late 90' through early 2000's with the straight 4.0L 6 cylinder is pretty reliable.
Bullet proof baby lol
Exactly my 01 cherokee has 192k and still going strong
2003 TJ with 187K. Still runs great!
This was never supposed to happen. They made some mistakes around year 2000, and some Jeeps came out more reliable than the leadership had pointed out. People got fired, there were reorganizations, and they after some time came back on track developing cars that not would last that long. Everyone can make mistakes.
@@Rimrock300 I appreciate a nice sarc before bed😏
I have a stock 2020 JL Wrangler 2dr Manual for over a year. It has been perfect. Oil changes and tire rotations. That's it. Most trouble free vehicle I've ever owned. Better than my Japanese Subaru Outback.

@matthewsweitzer4261 I have a rubicon 2013 and it gone in mud almost every weekend 77790 miles on it and it's perfect.

I’ve owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2 Jeep Wranglers. Jeeps don’t have the quality of a Japanese vehicle but I’ve never had a major problem with any of the Jeeps I’ve owned. My wife’s car is a Mazda CX-5 which is a fabulous vehicle. I drive a Jeep JK Wrangler and I love it. I did have to replace the thermostat on my Jeep recently. That cost me $46.00.
I'm still driving my 2000 JEEP TJ Wrangler with 188k on the original 4.0L. Recently had to replace the clutch and water pump but other than basic spark plugs and oil, she still runs great.

But you literally just made a video going on about how you like the Gladiator with the V6 and 8 speed auto. Damn it Scotty!!! I love my 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon!!! Has 2K miles on it and runs like a dream!
Speaking of 70's Jeeps, I bought a new one(AMC)in '74. I really loved that old thing but it was not a quality vehicle or one you could depend on. Kept it for 12 years but had to replace many parts on it over the years. Sure was fun in the snow though.
Chrysler products are getting so bad in quality that even the Cherokee tribe don't want their name associated with jeep anymore.

Been driving my 91 jeep wrangler since 92. Still runs like a clock
Scotty is a one-note blowhard. His puking all over Jeep convinces me I should consider it in the future.
@@mountainhobo he’s say buy this car and look back in his videos and the same car has a video never buy this car. All for views
Yeah. His schtick gets old. “Everything sucks. Too much plastic. You’re stupid.” Ive gotten very bored with him. The Celica isn’t the only car ever made with quality.
I've seen videos where he says Jeeps are great vehicles. Sounds like his brain is rotted out from something. Money hungry for sure
The taillights look like Jeep forgot about them and put them on last minute.

Jeeps may have gone downhill but I got a 16 Cherokee and I REALLY like how rugged it is compared to any other SUV I've seen. The rubber mats are so easy to clean, the interior looks great, and the only problem mine has is the shift lights get confused and it throws a "shifter service" warning, but it drives and shifts just fine.. it's literally just the lights lol
That said, nothing about the new cherokee's scream off road to me. It's just a typical SUV with a few nice touches on the interior.

I guess I’m a lucky guy... I’m over 60 and have owned Jeeps my whole life. Mostly Wranglers...but some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Cherokees too. I take care of my vehicles and never miss servicing or oil changes, and air filters. I also keep them as clean as possible, both as a hobby and so I can notice any strange leaks or fluids. I’ve never had SERIOUS issues with any of these Jeeps. V8’s, V6’s...no troubles. Don’t get me wrong, I do agree there are times when FCA released products too soon. The 9 speed transmission originally was released before the software was ready. But, even so, you can keep your vehicles running pretty good if you just pay attention. If I am one lucky guy...I’m real lucky. Because Ive owned almost everything Jeep has made...except 4 cylinders (although I like the 2.0 Hybrid/Generator motor). No troubles...know on wood.
I agree the 9 speed ZF tunning was not much fun specifically the 2 dog clutch shift points, but it was pretty bad in Hondas too, I've heard it's much better in latest models

I actually had a 92 jeep cherokee with the 4.0l straight 6, at the time I owned it it was pretty old but it had 120k mls on it and I drove 130 mls each day commute, and I did not keep up with the maintenance like ever, but it still lasted, it was a tank! Great motor!
It was built under Mercedes and Chrysler era. Those will last. After that era good luck
I literally just bought my first Jeep today. It is a 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and my daughter bought a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland 4x4 that was fully loaded. Hopefully we have better luck with ours.
Good to hear, hope you enjoy your new Jeep 👍🏼
Dude I have the same jeep. How is it doing so far?
@@mikesmnell414, absolutely amazing! I am totally loving it and will always be a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon owner from here on out. I’ve wanted a Rubicon since they came out with the TJ’s I think it was? I almost bought a 2007 JK Unlimited Rubicon but things fell through. But now, I am happy to finally be the owner of one, with many more to come.
@@j.r.777 That’s good to hear. Honestly a lot of what people have been saying about Jeeps had me really worried about my choice and I seeing people with good experiences and good reports about the new Jeeps puts me at ease. Honestly it’s so hard to find positive reviews about Jeeps except for the people who drive them.
@@mikesmnell414 I’ve owned my wrangler for 8 years as of next month. It’s been great and LOADS of fun. I’ve had two things break in that time. One radiator hose clamp ($2 to fix) and the rear windshield washer mechanism has a leak. I should probably buy a new one for like $75, but “eh”. Also, I’m about ready for my 3rd windshield but those are free through insurance. Other than that it’s been completely trouble free. I also just upgraded the shocks, springs, wheels, tires, brake pads and rotors. It’s even better now! And it’s resale value is insanely high.
Thanks for the advice Scotty
We have five Gladiators in your service and they are fantastic! All you have to remember is this; it’s a JEEP, not a TRUCK and you’ll be fine!

Most Jeep buyers know of the reliability issues .Knowing of the Endless upgrades availability. More than any vehicle on Earth. What they want is the platform. Easy to work on, width and weight. The personal cars this man owns is proof his opinion is as trustworthy as gas station sushi.

Jeep Gladiator just changed the game.
Got 9k on a Gladiator and BY FAR the best truck-SUV I’ve had since my 1980 Toyota 4x4 that rusted out in 5 years. Rides smooth and with a dependable pentastar engine. Great tech and ergonomics verses antiquidated Toyota etc. I love Scotties sound old tech mech but he’s behind the times with modern vehicles.

The Ram is not a demo. It was "pinned" they report it sold, to meet the month ends sale numbers.
Scotty, on the Chrysler comments. Parents bought a brand new ram truck back in 06-07 Transmission gave out before 50k mikes. Right during the recession. Under warranty and everything, dodge said basically “f*** off you were missing one oil change receipt”. Do not give that company a dime.
I have 3 Jeep’s. 1948, 2008 wrangler and a 2021 gladiator. My 48 gives me the most hell
Love the shelf display with lights behind it!
Hey! why does everyone need to kick Jeep? Wranglers are the most competent off road vehicle you can buy that can also be daily driven AND not cost a mint.(relatively) They don't get good mileage.Stuff breaks on them. IT"S A JEEP THING.
Jeeps are a easy target because we don't have a lot of the, my "canadian" ford is better than your "mexico" chevy....no no my chop stick brand of choice is better.... Real Jeep people just love our jeeps and don't really care about what other people drive. When we pass them stuck in a puddle we will just pull them out with a smile.
They still sell every Jeep they make, and they're getting a premium for them.
Hey Scotty we all know that you are not a jeep fan but every now and then a good one gets through...I own since new a 2004 jeep liberty that has never seen the inside of a shop ever. I have only ever replaced batteries and tires even the coolant is factory original! I have towed everything under the sun with this little jeep and it has never let me down. The assembly line must have a good week when they built it!

And the home appraised for $120k n always rising in value
I’ve heard Scotty make the same comparisons. He gave $80 k for his home n the lot was worth half a million when he sold it. It’s about the contrast n comparisons of how you spend your money. I’m a lot like Scotty, money wise. I built my home myself n did it all , wiring n plumbing, it appraised for $150k n I immediately refinanced n built another. Meanwhile I drove my old Focus 18 years to pay them off n still driving it thanks to Scottys advice.
It is a bad comparison, very cheap house vs one of most expensive development vehicle
My 2017 Renegade 4x4 (with German transmission) has 75,000 miles on it and has been awesome! And I'm pretty hard on it.
Ive always put my new tires in the rear and rotate the rear to the front tires. This comes from my experience with Sears Radial (think Michelin) tires in the mid 1960's when the Sears mechanic refused to mount two new radial tires on the front of the car with the original bias tires in the rear. He insisted that the higher traction tires belong in the rear of the vehicle. I have done that ever since and never have had an issue with donuting out on a slippery curved road.

The tire problem is the new pair of tires has a lower load rating than the old tires . You have to check the load rating when you get tires . On a cargo van ,mini van or station wagon it will call for a higher load rating on the tires because you can load more stuff . There is a number and a letter on the tire one is the weight rating one is the ply or speed can't remember . You need to get the correct weight rating for your vehicle you can look up the codes for car and truck tires .

I bought my first Jeep Wrangler in 2020. I’ve owned 50 cars, and many of them were/are Toyota’s. I bought it for two reasons. First, until the Bronco, it was the only car where you can take off doors, the top and the windshield. Second, it retains 70% of its value over 5 years - more than any other car (including my 4RUNNER). The biggest cost of a new car is depreciation, so the Jeep over five years will likely cost less than most other cars. Having said that, I did purchase an extended warranty.
I bought my 2020 JT Rubicon in November of 2019. It’s got a vibration and a slight rough idle when stopping at lights, but as annoying as it is, I enjoy it. Someday I’ll rip it all out and install a V-8. Never selling it.
Settling for garbage at 50k plus 🤣 cmon man
@@justinsalazar9070 To each their own. I didn’t settle for anything. I’ve had it for 3 1/2 years and it’s done everything I needed of it; especially in the Minnesota winters or off roading in the mud and light rock crawling. I would have bought a Toyota Corolla if all I wanted was transportation and reliability.
Damn...I didn't know I was stupid when I bought it last year! Having fun with it though! Gotta admit my 2004 TJ is a better vehicle with the inline six!

fiat could never ever produce anything of qualitiy!
Must be an American thing ... Fiat has sold millions of cars around the world .
I'll always remember back when I was a lad and my mom's Fiat overheated in the Detroit Windsor tunnel in January of 1990. Not ever going to happen to me
Donald - back in the day, the Fiat 124 Sport Spider was an amazing car to drive. Not the fastest thing in a straight line but in the twisters it was dynamite.
I'll take a new Fiat Spider 124 Abarth over a Miata Miata any day of the week. Never mind the car is based on the same model. But there are differences that make the Fiat a better car.
Do you think FIAT would sell aeroplanes if they started making them? LOL
I almost took a job with AMC back in the late 70's, glad I didn't
I have owned a number of vehicles in my 62 years of life and all have been 4x4 vehicles, I have owned Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota and Jeeps. I perform all the maintenance you are supposed to. I have never had a mechanical issue with any of my Jeeps and I use them hard offroad (from the Everglades to Alaska) and put a lot of miles on them (typically 100k plus in the first few years, I travel a lot). Sure they drive like a brick on highways, but once offroad, there is not a modern vehicle that comes close to a modern Jeep. As for warranties, well, I purchased a 2023 JTR (Gladiator Rubicon) last week and it came with a lifetime warranty on both motor and drivetrain as long as I do not modifiy them without MOPAR parts and do regular oil/fluid changes as you are supposed to. Jeep knows people will be modifying many aspects of their Jeep and they do not void warranties for most modifications. There simply is not a modern vehicle that will perform offroad like either a Wrangler of Gladiator with the Rubicon trim (well, maybe the Mojave if you are into Desert racing).
This is my second jeep I just bought a 2020 gladiator and I absolutely love this truck had 250000 miles on the first one gave it away and there still driving it,Scotty is wrong my Gladiator is awesome.

@A Rodriguez I bought my first Jeep Wrangler in 2020.
I'm not a mechanic but it doesn't seem to matter what vehicle you own when you tell someone their friends nephew's roommate had that same car and had a bunch of problems with it. Just take care of it and I hope you like it bro.

You want to get out there, buy a Jeep
You want to get back, buy a Toyota
I have a Jeep JK with the Daimler transmission...no regrets on that transmission. It's had no real issues. The rest of the Jeep is another story...but it's held up pretty well once all of the initial quality bugs were worked out. (And there were a LOT of them.). Extended warranty for the win.
Owned five Jeeps since 2009 and never had any problems.
How is everything in Tennessee? Life is great in Franklin,WV

I had a 1994 Wrangler and 1999 Cherokee. Both ran well and only my son and granddaughter could tear them up after I gave them to them. I learned to drive in a 1967 Pink Jeep !
It was much better than my 1990s Jeeps. I do have another granddaughter that wants a old Jeep so I will have a project Jeep soon.
Hey Scotty can u make a video on the i6 duramax gm 3L
I love this guy. I own a dodge by the way.
Nothing wrong with Dodge products. At least parts are cheap and they are easy to service. Can’t say the same for Ford or Toyota products.
Hey Scotty, My 98 Grand Cherokee with a straight six is still running strong 238000 miles. It had a few bugs I had to work out but still going strong. It's a gas pig but the body looks good I'll run it until it dies.
That's why a lot of companies dropped the straight six, it was too reliable.
Loved my 98 GC with a 318
I have a problem I can't figure out 05 Taurus new tires on first rotation everything suspension has been replaced except strutts and balljoint when I'm on the highway and turning left the left side vibrates and continues for a little bit after going straight I've jacked the car up and yanked on the tire left right up and down and got no play.. Help?

I own a 06 jeep commander v6 with 250k miles on it running like a champ. Ive recently purchased a 2021 jeep gladiator high altitude and i absolutely love it. Has 18k miles and ive owned it since new. Its definitely a head turner. Every car will require repairs to maintain since parts are designed to fail after so many miles. This is how car manufactures continue to make money.
