    I was shocked the first time I watched one of your videos. It was eye opening to a world of vacuum technology I didn't know existed. After watching a few, I ended up buying the shark vertex pro. I just wanted to drop by and say thank you! Having a vacuum that doesn't flare up my allergies has been great. With it being a bit quieter too, I may actually like vacuuming now. Thanks so much!

      I never knew that shark vacuums were so badass. Up until about a year ago All I knew about vacuum wise was the usual hoover Bissell n dyson. I bought a Dyson about 12yrs ago n spending 500 on a vacuum was friggin crazy to me but I was going thru vacuums like crazy since I had dogs toddlers and I'm always tracking in dirt myself. I just couldn't find something to do the job n do it right...until that Dyson. Fast forward 12yrs to last January when I went to a buddy's house n while in his garage a shiney box caught my eye. So I walk over n grab the box n just as I'm about to ask him y it's still in the box he goes "bro u want that? I know ur always keeping ur house clean... that things brand new. This dude owed money n paid me with that n some other stuff ... I already made my money back ..u want it? It looks cool but idk..it's just sitting here take it". I went home n tested it out n man I immediately really liked it. That one was the shark cordless stick vertex duoClean w/multi flex in silver and Blue then I bought the shark rocket stick pet pro then just the shark stick pet n the one I really wanted was the shark vertex pro in black silver n deep red...got that one a few months back n now I want the stratos. Why do I have so many?? Well I've got 2 houses n one has an upstairs, basement and a detached garage converted into a bar. So I've got a vacuum for each level and the bar...oh n my two kids have one for their rooms hahahaha. Dunno y I wrote so much but hey these vacuums r dope n it's crazy how ppl will pay 600 for a Samsung vacuum only cuz it says Samsung n that goes for Dyson too but Dyson is a really good vacuum. Alot better than Samsung. I have a Samsung jet 75+ n it works good but the batteries only last about 20min. Also have 2 dysons V8 absolute and the v12 detect. Both really good. But I feel the shark vertex pro is better in every way

    I live in a small 1,000 square foot home with all hard floors, most of them being real wood. I decided to buy the Shark Vertex Pro after watching your video, and I'm in love! $300 is a hefty price tag for me, but I'm so glad that I made the investment! I used to only sweep the floor with a dust broom and would often miss little debris. This vacuum handles big and small debris pieces and rotates well. Assembly was so easy! I clicked several big pieces together, and I was done! Taking it apart is just as easy. Everything is labeled nicely. I love the attachments, the small size of the vacuum (we have little storage space) and the container to empty the debris opens from the bottom with a simple tab click to dump it in the trash. Even the charger is small and has suction cups on the bottom, so it's more stable. I was afraid of cordless having less suction power, but this vacuum works so well for my needs, is more quiet and simple to use. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to thank you for this video! I recommended this video on my Facebook. ❤

    After watching a ton of your videos, I ended going with the vertex liftaway. I love it. It's great for our hardwood floors, and doesn't compromise too much on the carpet cleaning side either. We use a robot vacuum daily on the carpeted areas, so we only use the vertex for deep cleaning the carpets.

    Thank you for your excellent, thorough and most importantly, PRACTICAL reviews. I almost dropped a bundle to buy the top of the line Riccar a few years ago but decided to give the Shark Apex a try based solely on your review and insightful comments. I am extremely happy with the purchase. The Apex has been a terrific vacuum aside from the short hose which you pointed out in your review as one of its only drawbacks. I have not had tremendous luck listening to youtube content for reviews but yours have definitely been helpful. Thanks!

    I recently bought that little Dyson Omni-Glide. Using it exclusively for downstairs dining, kitchen, living room area where we only have one small rug. I absolutely love it. It's so convenient to grab it after dinner and quickly run through dining area around the table and pick up all the crumbs and what not. Takes no time at all. 20 minutes is more than enough of a run time too. Takes me less than 10 minutes to run through the whole first floor. One thing I was surprised by is just how tiny that thing is. Video and pictures don't really show it off that well.

    Very impressive reviews. I bought the Shark Vertex Pro based on your evaluations. Thank you. You have saved me a lot of leg work. I have spinal stenosis and get into trouble when vacuuming if the machine is too heavy and inefficient since one tends to work harder and longer when dirt and debris don't get picked up. I also liked that you pointed out that the upright quality vs. the weight on the wrist is not an issue since you have both the stick and the upright qualities with this particular vacuum. As you say, the unit can stand up on its' own and you don't feel like it's going to fall when you lean it up against a wall or counter. All in all, you are an excellent resource and I'll be sure to share your evaluations with others when in the market of replacing a vacuum or two... 🤗

    There is a Dyson V12 (at least in Europe) which is like a dyson micro and v15 had a child. its small but comes packed with features like the laser fluffy roller, a good run time from the V15 but it retains the small formfactor from the micro. I got it and i am amazed!

    • @MitchM240
      @MitchM240 Před rokem

      @@VacuumWars so I have been using the Lupe for only one day now. I like it a lot. Something interesting I noticed. The P50 will run over and ingest just about anything. That is good and bad. While I love that it can suck up large debris it would frequently get clogged with things it sucked up but could not “process”. Conversely the Lupe will not ingest some of the large debris the P50 will, it just pushes it away, but I also have not had single clog. It looks like it is cleverly designed to only ingest things it can “process”. The only thing I really miss from the P50 vs the Lupe is how easy the P50 can convert to using the wand to clean in corners. The P50 you just pull the wand out and you are good to go. On the Lupe you need to detach the hose then connect it to the wand, not nearly as convenient.

    This video really helped me decide which one to buy today. Our home is all wood and tile, with just a few area rugs. We liked the idea of the Shark Vertex Pro, but we had to consider that we are a household of 5 (4 adults), and when we had the Dyson V8, we often had a bone to pick when multiple people needed to use it, but had to account for charging. So we went with the Shark Rotator ADV since it’s quite similar to the Vertex Pro, but with the dependability of a cord. After doing our entire house in one go, we’re so impressed. We hope it keeps up like this because WOW. Now we go longer between deep cleaning sweeps, and everyone can vacuum on the same day lol!

      I kinda had the same problem with fighting over the vacuum when the kids were cleaning or even the wife always forgetting to put the vacuum back on the charge or forgetting where she left it. So I liked the shark stick vertex duoclean so much I bought another shark stick model n then another n another n another n so on. Ive got 2 kids a vacuum for each as well as a vacuum for each of the 3levels of our home. In all I've got 6 shark stick vacuums 2 Samsung's both jet 75+ n 2 dysons a V8 absolute and a v12 detect...the shark vertex pro in black silver n deep red is hands down everyone's fav which is even more annoying cuz me buying all those vacuums so the kids don't fight meant shit. They Both chose my fav n now fight over it

    I’ve always loved my Dyson stick vacs and my fleet of robotic cleaners… but Bissel Crosswave changed the game for me. I run my crosswave cordless max over my hardwood and tile floors every day and it’s always totally spotless. No more broom and dustpan, no more swiffer… saves so much time, I couldn’t go back. In fact, the dyson is now collecting dust and my roomba and scooba collection remains on eternal standby.

    I find canister vacuums MUCH MUCH easier to use than uprights. I use my shark vertex for carpets and dyson canister with non powered hard floor attachment and it's the perfect combo. Canisters have ZERO handle weight thus perfect manoeuvrability. Seems like canisters are not too popular stateside? Very common here in Australia

    I feel like you aren’t looking at all the vacuums that could be could for hard floors. Shark, Dyson, LG, and Samsung are all a very small part of the market. You didn’t have the Sebo Felix on here which is amazing on hard floors or any canisters. You should start reviewing different brands such as Miele, Lindhaus, Numatic, and Sebo.

    • @battery_wattage
      @battery_wattage Před 2 lety +8

      Yes but non soft roller vacuums struggle with actually dusting floors. Dust that actually need more than airflow to remove. It’s like trying to dust furniture by just blowing instead of using a dusting wand.

    • @nicholask516
      @nicholask516 Před 2 lety +4

      If your vacuum is powerful enough you won’t have an issue with “dusting floors”. The reason these vacuums have soft rollers is because they are underpowered and need that extra help to pickup debris. Soft rollers also scratch your floor since they are basically scraping the debris towards the air path of the vacuum.

    @vacuumwars i have seen a lot of your videos and i respect your work.. i have one question for you.. I was about to buy a vacuum cleaner.. and I'm confused between Dyson v11 absolute pro and Dyson v12 slim detect.
    Both are almost same price. But v12 doesn't come with swivel tool and extension hose and also has only 11 cyclone motor compared to 15 in v11 which makes its suction power at par with v10
    So I'm confused if I should choose v12 for just a little extra money. Which is actually v10 with lcd screen and laser light in my opinion. Or get the v11 instead..

    I'm trying to figure out what are the best models that can both vacuum & mop. Since wet+dry robots top-out at roughly 5KPa, and cordless human-operated ones reach much higher than that - I currently prefer the cordless human-operated models. However, there's no clear cut list of the best ones. In Israel, some popular models are the Dreame H11 Max and the Jimmy HW8 Pro. Would be nice to get your input on the matter, as vacuum+mop functions in a single appliance are more desired than just having one or the other.

    First, I love your channel. You provide the gold standard, in my opinion, of vacuum reviews.
    A thought for future reviews. I’m not sure how you would do it. But it would be really helpful to a significant subset of your viewers, I believe, if you could cover things like strategies for using a robot vacuum in a home with multiple raised floors. Do people all manually move the robots to higher/lower floors? Are there other approaches? Do some robot vacuums lend themselves to handling this better than others?
    Of course, the simple solution, though not elegant, is to either manually move the robot or determine where the robot is most needed and/or use a non-robotic vacuum for other locations.
    And please forgive me if you’ve covered this in one of your videos and I somehow missed it.

    Hi, I love your channel, would you please do a test for top vacuum for shag carpet?
    I could not find anything on your channel for this and would love to hear your advice.
    There's two rugs that I have in mind one is the rug we have (SAFAVIEH Milan Shag Collection SG180) and the other is very similar only the California version instead of the Milan. Both rugs are very popular on Amazon and both have very high pile I believe about 2". We originally ordered the California shag but had to return it because it kept getting caught in our vacuum the pile is much less dense. The Milan rug is what we currently have and we use the Kirby to clean it. We actually just bought the shark vertex pro thanks to your videos as the Kirby is too heavy for every day use. But I would love to see how your test would come out if you introduced a high pile shag rug.
