I unchecked the box, and for some reason the photo is still shared? As soon as I share, people start
liking the photo!! How do I fix this for the future?

Maybe you worded it wrong. But you said "As soon as I share" then people started liking it. If you shared it then the box didn't uncheck unless you didn't mean to say you shared it. Or you did uncheck the box and still shared it somehow.

Is there a way you can add photos to your Facebook album too without notifying everyone? I tried to set it to only me and add it but nobody could see them if they went to my photos and when I changed it to friends, then everybody still got notified.
