From the UK. I walked into one of our food stores. Unknown to me, my cross was showing. A gift from my late grandmother for my 21st now fifty. It's been replaced once over time .and the look of a Muslim woman at me for showing my cross she was disgusted .Christians are again targeted by evil .I don't care who it upsets. And the most powerful Christian faiths believe that Jesus was sent to take their sins , in other words a scapegoat ..but Jesus expressed that unless you bare your cross in his way you will not find the kingdom of heaven , so I'd hazard a guess that you have possibly suffered much in life but also learnt much also , and i guessing you found the kingdom of heaven and exist within it in this life or at least I hope so Lynn .

I just believe that the pharasees followed many religious rules to the hilt, yet deep inside, were totally selfish people that only cared about themselves. Ask the televangelist to genuinely sacrifice for the good of mankind and watch the response. I've just seen far too many people like that, far more interested in their own " reward" or, seeing others as " evil" in order to see themselves as " good" while being totally oblivious to the damage and hurt that the stone of subjective comparison can cause others.

My experience has been as you said. They hate me for existing. No matter how much love I show. No matter how much I give. No matter how hard I have worked to overcome my handicap, so that I am not a burden to anyone but a rather the dependable one. The more I do to make the most of what God gave me to make a difference, the more they compel my sense of unbelonging. I look forward to seeing Heaven where I know my Savior awaits me with open arms and will wipe away the pain of rejection.

Wow that's heavy brother and I can relate even though I don't know the circumstances. Yeah I also am disabled and stand for God in Christ even though I'm not perfect. But my own family have rejected me neighbors I have no friends my kids don't call me my wife abandoned me 13 years ago and all I ever tried to do was be a noble good person even though I had the worst of childhood experiences growing up always rejected from the day I was born it seems there's no place in this world for us we're just passing through :-) PS I must say it's exciting to believe and know for a fact that we have a eternity of excitement and adventure in front of us at the directive of Christ creator of Heaven and Earth:-) remember we are in Heavenly places in Christ so think about Heavenly places and yes the Bible has revealed little glimpses

I particularly connect with your thoughts about heaven, to which I look forward. Some of the music I share online, you’ll see I have put a lot of thought into that very subject. The suffering is indeed only temporary. I am grateful that God has helped me to come this far despite others. As the old song goes, we are weak, but he is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. @@mscraig5147 From the standpoint, that God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit, as the scripture says, I have taken great comfort in knowing that you and I are not alone in our challenges. We do long for connections with those around us. But I am glad and grateful that God has made, his presence known along the way, so that I may know that he is he cares. Amen brother Pearl. People have gotten increasingly hostile to truth, goodness, godliness, honesty, and hard work. I was pushed really hard when I was growing up, to do more than my share and to be a moral person. In recent years I've had folks get mad at me for doing extra work, and more than my share. Now I've had people get mad at me for not doing enough, but never for doing too much. I asked someone about this strange phenomenon and they said that it makes people feel less nowadays if you do more. And it makes them mad. This world is truly upside down. A lot of people get extremely hostile when anything having to do with God or Jesus is mentioned. You're exactly right Michael, it's because they hate the truth, and it makes them feel less than. I'm really looking forward to Jesus return. Imagine living in a society of truth and justice. It's going to be a mighty good time. Bless you brother Pearl.

I don’t understand how doing extra work figures into the life in Christ, unless you are just a Calvinist indoctrinated with the bourgeois notion that being overworked means you are saved, one of the elect.
Expecting to be loved by men for trying to imitate Christ can only come of a warped religious ideology that privileges the ‘just man’, which in America means a majoritarian, white Christian male of substantial means. If you read your Bible, you will find no such valuation of your life. Work is punishment meted out to a fallen Adam, the just man in Ecclesiastes is reviled because he is just. And to top it off, Jesus Himself said, “if they hate you, remember they hated me first.” So don’t kick against the pricks, but bear up and repent of pride, etc. awaiting the reward of a good and faithful servant.

We just got hated on delivering parish magazines tonight. The man thought I was skulking around his property. I placed a magazine on his doorstep because they had no letter box. He threatened myself, my husband and teenager with death by a hammer.

They hate us because we are in the truth, and in the light. They live in the darkness, in lies and delusion. When they see us, they’re reminded of their sin. They don’t feel free to celebrate and take pride in their shame. It’s not us they hate. Its their own shame.

Exceptionally well stated. It's as if their minds are wired differently. They cannot comprehend our love and devotion to God our Heavenly Father nor our relative absence of fear when confronted with their despise and hate. Satan's grip can be powerful.
I wrestled with God many times. Even today, I often see my faith waver because of all the evil. Children raped and sacrificed. How can God allow some of this stuff? But, I stay or try to stay faithful because I know men are wicked. This includes my own desperately wicked and deceitful heart. That keeps me believing in God/Christ.
And the very fact that sin and death are synonymous and its evident in the visible world. Ask an atheist how death arose?
Or anyone who denies God/Christ. Again, sin is death, and where death arose.

No one hates something they claim doesn't exist more than an athiest.

God bless you, brother. I know. Some of my own family and my in-laws seemed to resent me after I received the Holy Ghost. Since they had received him before I did, they thought that now I would suddenly swing around and agree with all their opinions on everything. But no. I had survived 34 years already, and receiving the Holy Ghost did not make me suddenly stupid! I still had a right to use good judgment in decision making whether they agreed with my decisions or not. Jesus said that a day would come when a man's enemies would be they of his own household. Without going into details, let's just say the fallout because of certain ones' determination to make me appear a villain has been great, resulting in many lost souls, but I'm still holding onto God. We'll see what he says on judgment day.

Over here in Australia we had a shootout in Queensland where 3 police officers were killed. Because the father of two of the three perpetrators was a Baptist preacher the Queensland deputy Police Commissioner came out and said the problem was radical Pre-millennial Christians! As one who felt lost to God at age 13, I have come back to my roots. In fact, I never left them, I simply forgot the connection between my convictions and my God, I have also reclaimed my soul, as a concept. I used to call it my core, but really it is my soul. I have long noticed this dreadful situation in our society, and even while I was not a participant, I felt that the harshness with which Christians are treated was appalling. For what one accepts as the best for oneself and one's family can never be folly if it is in the spirit of God.

What you say about Christians, @Michael Pearl, is true but I don't think there are as many people "living in the likeness of Jesus the Christ" as it means. Most who lives Christly are more often than not shunned by the world. The exception is when we began to point out the corruption the world and how Churchhouse Attendees are misrepresenting the Christ's life and teachings. Christians are to be living circumspect of the world's standards as Jesus the Christ did for us to know what God expect from the (called out of the world) Church.

A lot of Christian people are on their hands and knees bent over and just afraid to speak up and so they're condoning the wickedness of this world they are afraid to speak the gospel message that saves and rather than be different! This world glorifies being a “devils advocate” more than being a faithful man of God. If you tell them you don’t question God, they hate you for it and gas light you. They believe it’s ALWAYS better to question something or someone as long as it doesn’t acknowledge sin. If it acknowledges sin they try to talk you out of it and if you don’t shift, you are “oppressive” and “hateful”. The whole “don’t judge a book by its cover” is slowly turning into “don’t judge a book by its actions”. How else do you protect yourself from evil and harmful people?

Thank you for doing what you do, over the past 3 years my relationship with god has grown immensely and I have never felt more peace in my heart knowing the lord will always be there for me no matter what. I pushed through so much abuse in my childhood from both my parents and when I think back to those dark times it makes me thankfully I was able to grow my heart and not become a awful person and show kindness instead of taking out what happened to me on others . and that love comes from god and one day when i leave this earth I will know what its like to have a real fathers love.
