- JUST JUMP
A skydiving mini-documentary about the nature of fear. Sometimes you have to just jump.
Fearlessness isn't the absence of fear when you're doing something courageous, it's knowing that you have fear and doing it anyway. Not letting fear run your life.

Just jump into whatever it is that makes you smile. Doesn't have to be a plane, but I highly recommend doing it at least once!
Or twice or more... :)
PernDog I love this video and those words you said!! How do that 5 people don’t like it!
I’ll never understand why people thumbs down a CZcams video
Hey bud im loosing my shit and my lady wants to go jump! I wanna do it buut im struggling to just commit .
Sounds like a personal problem, if you wanna jump go jump and if you don’t, don’t worry about it
This is exactly why a started Skydiving, fear had worked it's way into my psyche and was eating me from the inside out. Everytime I jump I get to confront it and prove to myself that it's all up to me, and it's like you say....your not thinking about your taxes or your bills or how much work needs doing, Skydiving puts everything into perspective 🤙🏻
Agreed man glad you get it 👊🏻
I just watched this with my boyfriend. This one resonated. I'm an AFF student so this one really hit me right in the feels. Thank you for sharing this. I go by Ana. My home DZ is Skydive City. Definitely putting this one in my playlist.
2 years ago I said to my mom that I wanted to go skydiving (i was 11 at the time) but she didnt understand how much i wanted to do it. She asked me if I REALLY want to, then I started thinking and I said no. From that day I was so sad because that was a ones in a lifetime opportunity (I was in New Zealand). I had already been in indoor skydiving twice, (one time in Norway and one time in New Zealand) so that's why I wanted to go. And I live in Norway and to go tandem skydiving you have to be 16 years old so i didnt have a chance. But this summer we went to Estonia and I jumped there (13 years old) because you had to be 8 years ago or older. I loved it
the feeling i am running through everytime i jump...the worst 5 seconds...just ahead of the beautiful 60" that will follow
great job man! standing in thay door is a crazy awesome rush of emotions..thats for shure
Love it 386 jumps and counting! Skydiving has changed my life in so many positive ways. I don't know where I would be right now if it was not for skydiving. Blue skies man. If I'm ever in the area I'd love to jump with you!🤘
Ryan Kihm I have my first jump this Friday morning April 27th 2018 10am sharp aghhh
Soo true!! It’s only scary in the plane and as soon as you exit, it goes away and you realize how awesome life really is and is the best feeling ever! Yes it’s an adrenaline rush but much much more than that. I highly recommend it. Push through the fear and you’ll be grateful you did 🤘🏻
Did you write this as it is very well written and spoken? Fear follows me from the time I step onto the airplane until the moment I land. It doesn't leave me when I step out the door. I carry it every second on every skydive. If the time ever comes when I truly have no fear, I will know that is the signal for me to leave the sport. It's always been about my baby steps of progress in this sport. Quick learners are impressive, but they often leave us far too early in this sport. Keep up the good work on this channel.
I've been watching this video to help me build up the courage to jump this September (Friday the 13th, GASP!)
Glad you like it! Have fun you’ll only experience that first jump one time 👊🏻
@@PernDog and you will never forget your 1st aff jump😇❤
Thanks for the link PernDog! Perfect!
Dude, you NAILED IT with this one. Great job.
Amen!
Watched this again this morning multiple times before I headed to the dz....passed my cat-a!!!! Thanks for the motivation!!! Keep it up man
Glad you liked it 👊🏻
I love what you said about fear - so very true! I have done 5 tandems and am almost ready to sign up for the class so I can jump on my own. That wall of fear to go out alone is very high, but I am slowly knocking it down.
Get after it! I did three tandems and then decided to step it up a notch when someone asked if I wanted to go again. Adapt or die lol
PernDog You are right, thank you! :) Forever blue skies!
What an inspirational video. Thank you! ✈👍
Thanks I’m glad you liked it! 🤙🏻
Love your videos man. The narration helped put into words what I haven’t been able to, but have felt as a new skydiver.
Thanks I appreciate it 🤙🏻
I love this video, it is so inspirational.
I'm scared of heights and afraid of flying but I did a tandem jump with two of my kids in 2019 and it was fantastic. A couple of months later I did a second jump with two other kids and I had a massive surge of adrenaline on the way up, never felt anything like that before. I jumped, I loved it!
Sounds like you guys had a fun time!
I do my Category A jump this coming sunday and I've never been so freaked out and excited at the same time.....this video really helped me out....here's
to a safe landing
Awesome relax and have fun! You only get to do your first solo skydive once! It’s fun being a beginner 🤙🏻
@@PernDog honestly it's the canopy ride that freaks me out! Not the free fall, just learning the patterns and wherr/how to land is overwhelming but I'm sure it'll become easier over time
Yeah and as a student you’re in such a huge canopy it’s going to land you softly. Plus you’ll have an instructor on the radio giving you instructions, just do what they tell you to and you’ll be good!
@@PernDog dont know if you still get these notifications, but was curious if you had a video about landing in a cross wind or if youd be willing to PM about it? Great videos!
Beautiful
Awesome movie! I face fear before every skydive...but I also Just Jump! :) Congratulations from Brazil ... Blue Skies!!!
+Felipe Souza thanks a lot! Where in Brazil do you jump?
PernDog Hj! I jump in the biggest Dropzone in Brazil, in Boituva City at GO Fly School. Follow us on Facebook and visit us If you came to Brazil :) facebook.com/goflyparaquedismo/
+Felipe Souza I'll definitely follow you guys and I'm not sure if Brazil is in my future but I've always wanted to go!

You should consider doing some Self Development/ Motivational Talks at schools & Lunch meetings. You have some great inspiration in your thinking.
+Kevin Tyrer I’d be up for it but I don’t know how to get into that scene
This is how id go about it... Start by preparing a list of your Belief / philosophy System. & build a 2-4min talk / general conversation. (Prepared to Practice)
Talk around it in your Vlog with out pushing it. Gentle pushes.
Watch Jim Rohn. He has a bunch of life & business skills trainings & how he did it.
I was Blessed to be in one of his 1 day Toures in Johannesburg 20 yrs ago. Unfortunately he passed a couple of yrs back. But his legacy lives on.
+Kevin Tyrer thanks for the input. Step one I guess is to have a personal philosophy! I’m all seriousness though I will look into putting something together.
Thats awesome. Go for it. I believe you have it in you. I've dabbled a bit into it As well & I need to focus on my discipline & G.O.M.A. "Get off My Ass" . My peronal abbreviation ;)
A lot of my excuse is im so tired after a days work as an Electrician. Working for my self totally alone. From finding work, doing it, cleaning up & invoicing.
Well I guess excuses don't get me any closer.
31 jumps in and I still feel that nervous feeling. Slowly working my way to the wingsuit. One jump at a time.
Awesome job

I finished ground school. I am really nervous about my first jump. What would you suggest to calm my nervousness?
just focus on the instructions you were given, dont think about the jump just execute hope it helps
Deep breaths, and take one right before you jump!
My first 85 skydives I would absolutely be shitting myself on the way up to altitude, then On jump 86 I wasn’t.........weird. I was still nervous but not terrified
Yeah it fades but the nervous system still gets activated in a heightened state. Everyone's gonna be a little nervous after this Coronavirus thing lifts. It's been like six weeks since I've jumped!
6 weeks? You lucky bar steward- I’ve not jumped since last September ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Mile Hi Skydiving Center!!!
Miss that place!
PernDog I’m moving soon and I’m going to miss it too. Work brought me here and now is taking me somewhere else. The people there are awesome.
Where are you moving to? We moved to Sebastian to be closer to a drop zone we could jump year round. Also we got sick of the cold and all the people crowding Denver these days.
It’s not confirmed yet but it’s looking like back to Nashville, then Jacksonville Fl and or Atlanta. The company I’m working for is bidding on a job in Dubai. That’s the job I’ll kill to get.
Nice. Dubai looks sick. Especially that DZ over the palm. If you make it to Jacksonville that’s not too far from Sebastian! You’ll have to come visit for a boogie
DOOR!!!!!!
This guy jumps
@@PernDog you nailed it . Once that door opens and cool wind and smell of jet fuel hits me...........I love this.
Just want to thank y'all for a great channel. I live in the midwest (Illinois) and don't get to fly this time of year. But really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you.
Thanks I appreciate it!
@@PernDog thank you keep up the good work. See you in the sky sometime
Merci : N0RM4AL
While jumping all i can think of is my gf and is she with me or no. If she is i will just hold her hands or be close to her till we need to split to deploy parachute.
We do a deploy in place all the time when we jump 2-ways. Amber pulls at 4K I pull at 3.5k. Makes for good video too 👊🏻
