This is an original Oak Ridge Boys song. The "Oaks" thought Home Free would do it justice, so they planned this collaboration. Home Free had done it with them at their concerts too. This is a mutual admiration society for sure. Thank you for reacting to this.

Oak Ridge Boys. True music legends. The current group has been together since 1973 and are in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame as well as the Country Music Hall of Fame. Elvira took the country by storm in 1981 and is probably the group’s biggest hit. This is truly amazing to see Home Free sing this song with these guys.

Elvira was a #1 hit for The Oak Ridge Boys in the American Country chart in the early 1980s (although their version was a cover from the 60s original) so I suppose when Home Free decided to record it too, they collaborated with The Oak Ridge Boys for this version, so that's why there are so many voices here.

In 2012, the guys you saw in their Elvira cover became the full-time members. In 2016, Chris left to do solo work and they brought Adam Chance on, the former bass for another group, Street Corner Symphony.

I like the dynamics with the two of you watching the videos. You should do a reaction on "All about that bass" cover by Home Free.

The Oak Bridge Boys recorded Elvira in 1981 and has been one of country music's top country bands, but they have never performed A Capella until they did this with Home Free. Since then, the two bands have performed this song together on stage Capella at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville a couple of times.

Chris Rupp founded the band with his brother, Adam (the beatboxer). Chris left a few years ago, and chose Adam Chance 'Chance' to be his replacement in the group :) Since they've been singing for years, you'll see videos with each of them there. I think there's even one or two that have both Chris and Chance together. Whoever is in there, they're amazing!!

You need to hear Tim Foust (Homefree' bass) and Peter Hollen's version of the Misty Mountains from the Lord of the Rings. Peter does all the parts except the bass and Tim takes his bass to an all time low.. Simply Amazing

I like that reaction. You are a great couple and it is great to see the two of you enjoying this together. I am typically not much of an A cappella fan but I saw the oakridge boys and Elvira in the title so I had to check it out. It happens that in my youth I wasn't much of a country music fan and my parents were but Elvira was one of a few country songs that I enjoyed at that time. This was certainly an interesting arrangement for that song. thanks for introducing me to it. By the way even though I am from Arizona while I was in the Army I had the pleasure of serving alongside quite a few servicemen from the UK and I don't think his accent is dodgy at all.

Loved your reaction, and glad you guys did this together!! Yes there was a change in 2016. So besides Avi from Pentatnix in the Ring of Fire video the guys of Home Free are the exact same, but Chris Rupp (in the baseball cap here, and normally a cowboy hat) left and was replaced by Adam Chance who you would have seen in Man of Constant Sorrow. I am definitely a Home Fry and look forward to you both checking out more or Home Free!

Home Free's bass singer is Texas native Tim Foust, who has a 5 octave range, from super, super low to high tenor.

If you haven't yet, You both should do a reaction on Home Free's cover of John Michael Montgomery's Sold. Tim hits one of his lowest note in that one! And it's also such a joyful tune.

Donovan! You came out from behind the camera. Cool! Great Video! I always liked the Oak Ridge Boys. Some good guys! Good Job Guys. If Y'all ever get to Georgia let me know. Ill round up some beers and some Moonshine and we will kick back, sip on some Shine, drink some beer and listen to some great country and Bluegrass music. Try out Chris Stapleton doing some Bluegrass with the Steel Drivers "Blue Side 0f The Mountain" or "I Aint Living Long Like this" Live.. Fantastic music. I think you'll like it. Love your HF reactions and please keep them coming. The best is yet to come. HF covers multiple genres and their videos will make you feel many emotions. Their last album “Dive Bar Saints” features 10 originals. However before you get to that check out “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, “Man of Constant Sorrow”, “How Great Thou Art”, “Helplessly Hoping”, “End of the Road”, and “Mayday” to get you started. Again, thank you and glad to see you here.
