Maybe not in the general gaming sphere, but Dragalia Lost was very beloved in the gacha community (which is larger than people expect). I don't think it will ever be forgotten there, especially since it's the prime example of "too much kindness can kill".
I hope it won't be forgotten; my friend loves it so much he's showing me uploads of the story and everything. He loved talking about it enough that when i wasn't able to watch the videos with him (complicated), he would describe Every Chapter By Text and he did that for 15 entire chapters. His passion for it carried to me and i really have fondness for it now, and the characters are so engaging. It's really disheartening to see it go, but i don't think it'll be forgotten. They had super mario 3d all stars posters, as well as N64 keychains that I thought were pretty cool, a hylian shield phone stand as well as a bunch of zelda acrylic items (Skyward sword and Age of Calamity specifically.) It's certainly a far cry from the good ol' days of club N, but if you keep your eye on it, My.N does have some nuggets ocassionally

Same. I feel like it's gotten better recently, Splatoon Bag and a big sticker pack, and Metroid Prime pins. And I don't even use any of their apps, it gives you silver coins if you have Switch Online and play certain games you have/ back up save data once a week. It's a shame it's NSO only though

It's pretty cool but I realized in a recent visit to the website that the ID paper on the inside of the lanyard is now being offered as a free printable under Phones/PC rewards. :(
My Nintendo is one of those things that I just question when I go in there. I got my account when 3D Allstars came out and saved up for a little case. The case is practically useless and the posters (which I also got later on) are better but it’s still neat. It’s free so I recommend anyone with a Nintendo account getting it but it’s not a big thing if you don’t
MyNintendo has had a few (emphasis on few) good physical things. I got the Splatoon x Pokémon keychains and they’re neat doodads that sit on my shelf. The UK got some sweet Gameboy posters that I’d love for NA to get as well

One of my favorite memories with My Nintendo was trying to get those Mario 35th anniversary pin sets in the middle of online classes. Their website just could NOT handle the traffic. I kept refreshing and I managed to get both sets. Pretty happy with those.
The posters were so badass I actually got them framed. I also liked the Mario posters, but those weren't holographic so they're just pinned to the wall for me.
It's really sad how the transition from 2016 to 2017 was when it came to Nintendo's consumer aspect. So much of the funny community stuff they did during the 3ds and wii u stuff just got drained away, be it Nintendo Rewards, Miiverse, 3ds themes, etc. They're not necessities, but they were a great bonus for being a nintendo fan beyond just the games
Those perks may have came back, but once the switch turned out to be a non stop money printing machine for their company, they lost all incentive to try harder to attract fans with better service. May also have something to do with the new president, idk.
The peak of Scott’s content is this, him just going on a 30+ video giving thoughts on a random Nintendo niche subject. Much prefer this over the bits on the main channel.
This is overwhelmingly refreshing, I personally find his meta humor and skits to be a little too frequent/over the top on his normal stuff. If he struck a balance between that and how Whimsu handles humor and info, I'd be a much bigger fan.
I got so into Miitomo and AC: Pocket Camp back in the day…exclusively for that Twilight Princess picross. TP was my fave game at the time, and I was so afraid that they would take it down before I could save up enough coins for it. High school me could’ve saved so much stress knowing it would still be up like 7 years later
Let me just say, I love the splatoon tote bag from the store. I have it in my car and it's almost as big as an Ikea bag. It's so useful for food shopping, shopping trips or whatever the heck I'm doing.
I remember the Annual Rewards depending on your membership level of club nintendo. I think I got some weird mario/donkey kong game. More importantly, I remember getting the 3-poster set which featured pikmin, toon link, and Mario. It was cool as a kid to get something real mailed to you “for free”
I feel like this video isn’t complete without talking how Mynintendo integrates to the switch online app (using platinum points for icons, the monthly missions to play certain games for platinum points, etc.) platinum points add like a meta layer of gaming that sort of act like PlayStation’s achievements, and while they could be pushed farther, they’ve never had more of a point than in the last year or so.
great example of the sweepstakes improving, the one for metroid prime remastered has a metal art plate and a hoodie, neither of which are available otherwise. and hey there are platinum point missions on switch
For anyone who says we're just looking back at Club Nintendo with rose-tinted glasses, we're not. Their physical rewards were more often of a higher quality and with free shipping, and they offered heavily-discounted or even free games all the time. My Nintendo doesn't even begin to compare.
My wife and I got really into Miitomo for a little bit. We spent a lot of time trying to get the wedding dresses and just fell off after that. Wish I knew about My Nintendo when I was playing.
I got one thing off My Nintendo, and I'm convinced it's pretty cool... It was a 8 game switch case with a reversible cover art of the switch and its controllers. Japanese format box as well so the text on the spine wasn't centred like other PAL games

The peak of Scott’s content is this, him just going on a 30+ video giving thoughts on a random Nintendo niche subject. Much prefer this over the bits on the main channel.
This is overwhelmingly refreshing, I personally find his meta humor and skits to be a little too frequent/over the top on his normal stuff. If he struck a balance between that and how Whimsu handles humor and info, I'd be a much bigger fan.

I got so into Miitomo and AC: Pocket Camp back in the day…exclusively for that Twilight Princess picross. TP was my fave game at the time, and I was so afraid that they would take it down before I could save up enough coins for it. High school me could’ve saved so much stress knowing it would still be up like 7 years later
Let me just say, I love the splatoon tote bag from the store. I have it in my car and it's almost as big as an Ikea bag. It's so useful for food shopping, shopping trips or whatever the heck I'm doing.

i actually used my Nintendo quite a lot back in the day. the wallpapers for PC and 3ds were pretty cool just for logging in
I remember the Annual Rewards depending on your membership level of club nintendo. I think I got some weird mario/donkey kong game. More importantly, I remember getting the 3-poster set which featured pikmin, toon link, and Mario. It was cool as a kid to get something real mailed to you “for free”

I feel like this video isn’t complete without talking how Mynintendo integrates to the switch online app (using platinum points for icons, the monthly missions to play certain games for platinum points, etc.) platinum points add like a meta layer of gaming that sort of act like PlayStation’s achievements, and while they could be pushed farther, they’ve never had more of a point than in the last year or so.

For anyone who says we're just looking back at Club Nintendo with rose-tinted glasses, we're not. Their physical rewards were more often of a higher quality and with free shipping, and they offered heavily-discounted or even free games all the time. My Nintendo doesn't even begin to compare.

My wife and I got really into Miitomo for a little bit. We spent a lot of time trying to get the wedding dresses and just fell off after that. Wish I knew about My Nintendo when I was playing.

I got one thing off My Nintendo, and I'm convinced it's pretty cool... It was a 8 game switch case with a reversible cover art of the switch and its controllers. Japanese format box as well so the text on the spine wasn't centred like other PAL games
