  • The release of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is imminent, with a projected date of May 10th. On MindQ, we would like to provide you with a concise overview of the prequel series of films and examine two intriguing subjects that may have arisen in your thoughts. Firstly, what are the distinct species of evolved Apes? Secondly, what are the four mechanisms via which an ape can attain higher intellect in this fictitious realm? Let's begin by discussing the many types of apes. Contrary to popular belief, there are actually four species, not three.

      Really, the 2011 movie shouldn't have been called "The Origins" and the people behind it could really have found another, better title for it !
      It's really due to this title which create confusion and many people unaware believe that these movies are prequels thus not.

      I think they changed it from nuclear radiation to a virus to make it more realistic to the times and in the movie conquest the planet of the apes the simian flu was there it just didn’t kill humans it killed all Cats and dogs so the humans had to use apes as pets and slaves that’s the only real change

      @@dudotolivier6363 how did the title confuse literally anyone

    • @dudotolivier6363
      @dudotolivier6363 Před měsícem

      @@harveycooper5098 The title is "Origins". It's pretty obvious why it is confuzing.
      This movie is an production of the "Planet of the Apes" franchise, the first one which came after a very long time after the iconic 1960-70 5 first movies series (okay, between there the Tim Burton 2001 movie, butt his one didn't have much impact or significance in everything, so always put on the side).
      Because of its title which implied that the movie will and indeed explore the very beginning of the apes rising and how it even came to be, and because it was a production released after all the others movies, people so though this movie was going to be a prequel.
      A prequel is, if you don't know, a production which is released after another, first base production but set in term of chronology of the lore and history of the latter, before it.
      People though the 2011 movie was a prequel to the famous 1968 initial movie and all of its sequels, thus it isn't the case at all.
      As the 2011 movie and its own sequels are reboot, which is productions which just start again everything from zero and start a new iteration apart from the previous ones.
      It would have been better that the movie just was called "Planet of the Apes" for short, and not having "Origins", in order to not made people think that was a prequel.

    It was also implied in Rise that ALZ113 was shipped globally as they show it being mass produced and packaged. The implications that it was being shipped to other labs either around the country or around the world suggesting that apes in other labs may have gone through the same "enlightenment", possibly getting out when humas in those areas were exposed to the virus. Not to mention that the pilot neighbor also spread the Simian Flu when he traveled on his flight.
    That was suggested when they met Bad Ape in War, as he was from a different area.

      ALZ 113 is the Simian Flu. It kills fewer older human adult humans along with dogs and cats.
      Human children are immune to the virus making them host asymptomatic carriers. But as they grow up, the virus mutates most of them effecting their brain cells to devolve their intelligence to primitive speechless state.

    I liked how new Planet of Apes films show that human tinkering with RNA viruses what caused Apes to evolve faster. In the 1970s Charlton Heston films made appear that Apes advanced through exposure of radiation or learned behaviors. If this were case would taken centuries not few hundred years.

    • @jacobyrassilon
      @jacobyrassilon Před měsícem

      Actually, it was shown that Cornelius and Zira traveled back in time to escape the destruction of the Earth by the Doomsday weapon in the second movie and Zira was pregnant with Caesar, who survived after his parents were killed. Caesar was already an evolved ape due to his parentage, so he was the one that started the apes down the evolutionary path.
      Due to a virus that wiped out dogs, cats, and other human pets, the Humans took apes as pets and they were the ones who trained them for menial tasks and eventually slavery. Caesar led a revolt that freed the ape slaves and became their leader. He mated with some of the slave apes, resulting in more intelligent apes, but he also taught non evolved apes the ways of man. I don't think that I have ever seen where radiation was said to have played a part in the evolution of the apes.
      Now, the way the new films portray the rise of the apes is a lot smarter and a lot neater than the time travel method, but the study of genetics was nowhere near as advanced back when the books and subsequent movies were made, so for it's time the time travel method made more sense.

    It's 1.30 meters because otherwise it just LITERALLY just mean 1.3 meters wich LITERALLY means 1 meter and 3 centimeters. Yeah, it's true. So either just add 1.30 meters or just add 130 centimeters. Because WHY is that a thing? Why and how does 1.3 meters mean 130 cm??? It doesn't. So yeah...

    • @miguelpadeiro762
      @miguelpadeiro762 Před 27 dny +2

      1.3m never means "1 metre and 3 centimetres"
      That's not how metric scaling works
      1.3 metres is in a scale, and is the same as 1.30 metres, or 1.300 metres, or 1.30000000 metres. We simply resort to two decimals for height because it's most practical.
      All those mean 130 centimetres
      1.3 metres = 13 decimetres = 130 centimetres
      1.30 metres = 13.0 decimetres = 130 centimetres
      1.300 metres = 13.00 decimetres = 130.0 centimetres
      1 metre and 3 centimetres would be 1.03m, as in 103cm.
      You can't just ignore the 0 in 1.03m, because that breaks the metric scaling.
