    Voltage regulator are benificial for load less application /fixed loads not for dynamic /changeing loads/torque needs.

      @@RJEDITALL what he is trying to say is the drill needs PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) not voltage control because you lose a lot of power by it!

    I have a question.
    Just for SAFETY sake, is the white wire shown as 'AC-In' (no mention of + OR -) a Positive or Negative wire?
    ALSO, What is the EXACT/recommended SPECIFICATION on the Capacitor?
    because an exact match to 'MPET D104K2G 901150021'/D104K2G is not easily available.
    I like the video, sharing usefull information is great,
    Your video shows how smart you are on electrics, lesser mortals (me/I) need clarity.
    Ambiguity is confusing, I don’t interpreter!
    I do not assume a Red wire is always Live, OR
    that a Black wire is alwayas Negative,
    then what is a white wire?
    I won't flirt when using 220 volt A/C

      It’s a Diac DB3 is the oddball part it’s a Triggering device for the Triac or SCR based motor / light dimmer • 32 V trigger device for the oscillator circuit. The rest is pretty common. There’s the BTA41 it’s a 40 amp constant rms current with over a 400amp surge capacity and a maximum of 600-800 vac input Triac!
      Then a 1/2w 10K ohm fixed resistor, a 220k ohm potentiometer aka (variable resistor)
      And a 104k or a .001uf to a .002uf capacitor
      I hope this clarifies parts list schematic is at 5:14 pause it and take a screenshot!

    If you want to do motor control properly you need to use pulse width modulation techniques and variable frequency.

    Use this setup to adjust/trigger relays of voltage stabilizer to findout if relays work on low voltage/high voltage to monitor the output voltage. Hence if a voltage meter was added to make it more usefull instead of testing the output voltage with multimeter.

      @@RJEDITALL I got it. However... The idea, it is making a electronic fuse cause this will protect a manual regulatory voltage and amps, if we just put a fuse, it will be inconvenient, in addition to replace the fuse each minute when the amps or voltaje excee the limits, thank you.
