Yes, usually a steam cleaning is necessary each year.

Did you fill the fuel filter up with fuel or half way like the oil filter?

Fill up the fuel filter to the top or else you will be using the hand pump longer to prime it.

Is it okay to add diesel treatment to the diesel tank and Lucas oil treatment to the reefer motor?

The reefer engine operates similar to other diesel engines. If you feel comfortable with these items in your other engines, I would simply be sure to get the 'dosage' correct for the fuel tank (fuel treatment) and oil pan size (oil treatment).

So difficult finding a mechanic for these damn trailers. Im getting out of reefer. Even if i need parts. Theae "truck" shops non knowledge on reefer is crazy. Its not a big engine. Pretty simple but goddamn it. Where the fk is everybody?

@@Montoya1991 Reefer units DO need coolant - like a truck engine. On the carrier unit in this walkthrough, there is an overflow reservoir that can be spotted at the top of the unit. They can be difficult to top off without a ladder.
