I used to fish off that bridge in 1960s when I was a kid . Used catch plenty of fish and there was good clamming in Broad Cove . Thanks for the memories.!!
Thanks! And haha, yeah. In the first draft of the video I included where each time I drop it, I say something like "oh good job, get more sand in your reel smart guy." I edited it out for the final though. I'm just more used to freshwater where I don't have to contend with sand. Rinsed it really well when I got home and it was fine luckily.
Thanks! I mean, it's a good spot to hammer little schoolies, fun. I've caught flounder and porgies there too but again, nothing big. I'm heading back there in August, might bring my kayak and head out into Buzzards. I know August isn't the greatest but I'll see what I can do.
Hey thats my town, liked and subbed..never fished this spot though. But right across at the island is a good spot for blues and stripers in late summer.
Need current! Find moving water 💦 or fish it on outgoing and the bigger fish will be there! I just wrecked em in NY last week! Have fun and find some moving water!
Hey John - Thanks! Yeah I realize that about the Bourne Bridge "border", but it's just a few miles, and mostly the same fish. "Fishing very near to cape cod but technically not exactly the cape" didn't seem like the best title haha. We've been going to Onset a couple of times every summer for probably 15 years now. Love it there!
Thanks man! I've actually recently moved to upstate NY but I lived in Mass for a long time and get to visit on occasion, I'll be back again in August. Yeah just checked your channel and joined too - good stuff!
Hi, i found this place on google maps but there are signs posted on the edge of the rd saying private beach. can you even fish there and not get in trouble?
I've seen people fishing here quite a bit. One side is says private, but I'm not sure that's real. Sometimes I think locals post shit on their own to try and keep things quieter for themselves to enjoy. I'm not really sure.

My Grandmother had a house on Buttermilk bay near the rt 6 bridge. This video brought back so many memories as it looks just like her spot.
I could fish there all day every day... Thanks for posting...
It was my pleasure to watch your video, thanks.
Looks like the Stone Bridge in Onsst
sure is!
Yep, I love Onset/Wareham. Lived there many years
Wow really, I guess you love fishing also. I’ve only visited Cape Cod once and I enjoyed fishing with my friend.
👋I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship where are you from?
@@tonybaroud3511 I live in NH but my daughter spends half the summer across from Onset beach. Nice spot. I raised both my children in Wareham.
@@bennitaconant1411 NH is a nice place, how is life with you over there? I’m from California San Jose

Well it’s good to see that there is actually fish on the “semi” cape.
Eh they're mostly babies though. No adults, they're all in 80 ft of water 3 miles out
I fished there in buzzards Bay there's alot of scup and black sea bass there
I would recommend it for the viewer, It is a great video, Thanks!
Glad you liked it and thank you!

Nice schoolies
Nice! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
wow you get bites on your line fast🧐
i just read a fiction book about someone who lived in cape cod!
That’s unfortunate the dock owners are usally very nice, they let me swim right next to them and fish
That is a private beach now unfortunately, where you entered in. Love that spot.
Good ole Massachusetts has made it nearly impossible for fisherman to fish anywhere from shore in the ocean aside from beaches or fishing piers.
Is it? I’ve fished there and no one said anything and I was there in july
great vid fellow masshole here subbed
Thanks man! I've actually recently moved to upstate NY but I lived in Mass for a long time and get to visit on occasion, I'll be back again in August. Yeah just checked your channel and joined too - good stuff!

Nice! Thanks for checking it out, I'll have a couple more up from my last cape trip soon!
What are u using
4 inch Gulp minnow on an z-man eyeball jig. 3/16 oz I think it was.
Surprised you caught anything. Tide looks dead low.
Yeah. Just super little ones though. I've gotten bigger ones here when the tide was in.
Is that the Rte 6. Bridge?
It's the Stone Bridge on Onset Ave.
You got it ;)
We where just there we'd night for the concert at the onset band shell. Great band called Wuhan. Had a great time.
Ya man not cape cod … Next time just drive the 3mi s to the canal … that’s about as far south shore as u can get without being in the cape though!
Cape Cod id probably tHE most depressing place to shore fish of anyplace I've fished on the east coast... the Carolinas to Maine
haha
is this a joke or serious?
Panama city Beach Florida off the pier is nice fishing.
Keeper is 18”?
Keeper in Massachusetts is a slot size from 28 - 35 inches!
@@rem_fishing damn! Pretty sure it’s 18” here.
@@rem_fishing it has to be less then 35!!!

@@seafruit. you can harvest one slot fish.
Are you Canadian brother
Nah, I live in Upstate NY. But believe it or not never even crossed the Canadian border. Really wanna get up there some day soon though.
That’s Wareham, technically not the cape lol
Yeah, true. But it’s like a mile and a half away from the bridge and it’s the same fish. Thanks for watching!
I live 2 streets over from there.
Nice! That's not you fishing on the other side of the bridge is it? Lol
I leave in Methuen más can son one send me the address
bottom of the tide, not the best time to fish but when you're w/ the wife I guess ya take what ya can...
Yup. Best time to go is when you can haha. I've gone back here when the tide was in and caught them in the low 20's inch size range.

Nope. But some one else in the comments did guess right.
