Postponing travel makes you lose opportunities. Eastern Europe could have been delightful last spring/summer, but the influx of Russians avoiding conscription has caused prices to go up dramatically in some places. It may be a very long time before the world normalizes again. Now is a great time for North Americans to visit South America.

I visited Uruguay, Colonia, Montevideo, and Punto Del Este in October 2023. I much preferred Argentina.
Fortunately, you can still visit them both. I prefer Colombia, but I still like to visit other places.
Argentina and Uruguay are good places to visit this year
