    A fun drill to break up your training and get your reactions and your head movement working. Get a training partner to throw balls at your head so that you can test your reactions, timing and head movement - the closer they get the more difficult the drill.
    Once you've got the basic head movement and slipping down then go to the next level by adding strikes while you dodge. The purpose here is to teach you to get your head off the centre line while you are counter striking. So, rather than striking with you head straight up in the middle you begin to make sure your head is not vulnerable while you're punching. You also get yourself to a position where rather than defending and then counter attacking as a sequence, you counter attack while you are defending when your opponent is most open.
