Fair point - I never considered that!
It does seem weird when the video game is a sport, though. I get it, but playing Madden is just nothing like the actual sport, and watching someone play Madden seems just waaay too removed.
Growing up, I would watch my sister play because she was always better at them than I was.

Why I prefer Thanksgiving alone. I have a very small family and they all live very far away. I do get invitations to join other groups, but you have just confirmed my fear about being a "stray." I KNEW that's the way they looked at it!

I love Wanda Sykes. When it comes to comedy, I really enjoy the musings of very intelligent people. And I have to admit, I identify more with people who are Boomers, like myself.
My favorite comics of all time were the late George Carlin & Robin Williams, Lily Tomlin, Whoopi Goldberg (when she 1st started), & Wanda Sykes. When I'm watching them, I always know that they will have me in stitches, laughing.

If I watch people playing video games it’s NOT the only thing I’m doing. I put that in the background on the iPad while doing household chores. Why wash dishes or toilets in silence? It’s a very fun thing and it makes annoying chores less horrible. It’s also good background enter when you are making art as it’s not too distracting. It makes you feel like your hanging out with a friend and less lonely.
Thought I’d actually explain from my perspective in case some people were genuinely wondering why people watch others play video games and when.
It’s when I can’t play.
Also some content helps with teaching hard parts of a game you are playing like a guide or walk through/play through.
It’s enjoyable to enjoy people having fun and enjoying things!
