I am an Alaskan Native, I use to be christian, turned athiest and Alhumdulillah I accepted Islam and did my shahada about 5 years ago Mashallah. Best decision I made. It has been a beautiful journey. I know they say our home is our first masjid, but I hope to pray in one Insha Allah. I still have my ups and downs but I am still grateful for everyday. More than I have been in the past.
Ups and downs are natural. Even we born muslims face it. Keep strong and pray to Allah to keep you steadfast and stay in the company of good people who make you come closer to Islam. All the best!

Muslim are strong in their beliefs because they understand their religion, because they question their own religion and fully understand it. From what i see of Christian is that their reason for being a Christian is blind faith, when you ask a priest about the trinity and ask why it doesnt make sense they will usually tell you something like "its beyond human comprehension" or some nonsense like that because they know it doesnt make sense
