I really don't think instagram is losing user engagement because of other platforms like tiktok. they're losing engagement because they continuously shoot themselves in the foot with their own platform lol. you would be hard pressed to find one person who has liked any of instagrams updates within the past 3 years.
I was recently notified / invited to start monetizing my reels. This video helped immensely so very sincerely thank you! And yes I absolutely subscribed!

As far as I understand from personal experience, when it comes to business profile, 1000 followers from your city are more important to you than 10,000 followers from other countries who will never come to your salon or studio. Focus on the tags relevant to your profession and the city in which you work.

Great video. How can you tell if you need to remake your account? I bought fake followers years ago, but it seems like most accounts have bad engagement these days unless they’re flooding reels. How do you know when it’s time to delete and start over, and does it even work? Wouldn’t IG just track your IP or email and penalize you still?

Adding captions to reels will in theory increase reach because Instagram is utilizing more of a SEO on the platform lately?
