- Sonny Eclipse is back at the Magic Kingdom after not being seen for a few months! It seems like he was just fixed up a bit, as his movements now are looking way smoother compared to before. This was filmed on February 17th 2023 at around 1:45pm

I still remember watching Sonny Eclipse on my very first visit to the Magic Kingdom almost thirty years ago. Watching him over lunch is almost a requirement of any trip. 👍😊
That’s awesome Mike. The food at Cosmic Ray’s was never that great for me, but I always love to pop in there for Sonny Eclipse! He makes eating the food there so worth it lol, and I’m so glad they fixed him up!
He looks like he got a major tune up! Looks very animated now

I like to watch Sonny Eclipse myself while having lunch or dinner at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.
As a matter of fact, I would've liked to see Sonny Eclipse make an appearance for the television show "Earth to Ned" that I've watched on Disney+ (Plus).
If you're not familiar with Earth to Ned, it's about a late-night talk show hosted by an alien commander named Ned and his lieutenant Cornelius who were originally going to invade Earth but decided to call off the invasion after they fall in love with Earth's human culture broadcasting their talk show from the bridge of their spaceship hidden deep underground and interview Earth's celebrities such as Andy Richter and Gillian Jacobs who appeared for the first episode.
Sonny Eclipse would be perfect as the show's organ player.
Glad he's back. Always try to stop in and catch a few songs. Wish his band and backup singers were in animatronic form too.
It would be nice to have the band there too! Honestly, I’d love for them to bring those old/creepy Chuck E Cheese animatronics in there😂

Starlight Cafe gets some bad press from the Disney snobs but it is always handy to get a quick meal, re charge the batteries and watch good old Sonny.

Yep, he wasn’t moving very well last time I saw him but now he honestly looks & moves like new! It’s always great to see Disney putting in the money to fix animatronics. I honestly could use some sort of spa day or massage myself lol

This is where I eat dinner when I go to MK by myself. I always get the burger and fries there.
This just reminds me of when the kids were younger and we took them here. Brings a smile to my face thinking about it. It's the little things like that that is the Disney magic.

Remembering seeing him my first Disney trip. I was with my sister and her family and they were so unorganized. It was humid and hot and we were all starving and tired. I was sitting at the table just zoning out. Then I heard him and was like wow what??? I took a video of him singing one of his songs. Later when I got home I had to look up the songs online.
That ever clasic tomorrow land tunnes it only gets better when the best from another glaxy comes and gives us a concert we won't forget!!!
I missed seeing him in January (the curtains where up when I dropped in to Cosmic Ray’s). I hope to get to see him sometime on a future trip! (yeah, I eat at Cosmic Ray’s…while there may be “better” options out there for food…I have not had a bad burger at Cosmic Ray’s ... but I usually get the current “specialty” burger.And sometimes, in spite of all the different options, a person just wants a burger and fries 😋
Yes, I was honestly afraid Sonny wouldn’t be back once they removed him but thankfully that wasn’t the case! They fixed him up and is looking/moving better than ever. The food at Cosmic Ray’s has always been solid for me quick service wise. Of course it could be substantially better but I never leave eating there thinking the food I just ate was bad lol

I was really sad to see Sonny wasn't operational when my wife and I dined here back in September 2020-Another casualty of the pandemic at the time. Maybe he was sick. Looks like they put some work and effort into his renovation though-good to see.
