Radiohead - I Will (Like Spinning Plates version)
Vložit
- čas přidán 8. 09. 2024
- Reconstructed I Will from the Kid A and Amnesiac sessions with the instrumental from the Kid A Mnesia Exhibition and the vocals from the Hail to the Thief version. The band reversed this instrumental and created a new song with it called Like Spinning Plates.

@@daradio You're right, we have interacted before on a Radiohead video. :)
I don’t understand why this isn’t in Kid A Mnesia.
Sounds like it totally belongs in kid a
The bonus material kinda sucked. There's sooooooo much stuff buried from this era of Radiohead and they barely scratched the surface for Kid A Mnesia.
I bet they recorded lyrics for I Will during the Kid A/Amnesiac sessions. They're probably on a disc in a vault somewhere. I reckon they could've compiled a Kid A/Amnesiac version of I Will for the bonus disc.
I believe it is, it might be heard at a certain point way later in gameplay...
@@k-leb4671 I Will was actually written in 1997, you can see this in Meeting People is Easy
You made a masterpiece out of two masterpieces..
It's crazy how versatile the structure and chord progression of like spinning plates really is, I'm guessing that's why they made so many versions of it.
they said they didn't want to make fancy instrumentals nor experimental electronics, to not bog down the real message of the song, but I feel like this is WAY more haunting than the guitar version in hail to the thief, this version is better and absolutely deserved to be in amnesiac
Yeah... I think this version should have made it to HTTT instead of the one that made it there. That, or I Will should have been completely removed from HTTT, and this version make it to Kid A Mnesia
I thought it was because they thought this version sounded like dodgy kraftwerk to them.
I've been listening to this in my head for most of the day....
The artwork is some Pink Floyd type shit.
stanley donwood is quite the crazy lad and he makes the coolest type of art imo

Interesting. I don't have a ps5 or something to go through the gallery. Looks pretty cool from what I've seen so far here on CZcams.
PC works too.
This should be released.
Great
sorry but i saw you post radiohead videos and you have a mulholland drive image so i had to subscribe to your channel automatically
And you have a Grimes profile pic, everything lines up

So there is nothing to explain
It’s got a real Muse feel to this song … or perhaps Muse has got a real Radiohead feel
Yeah, the second one. See also the original version of Reckoner / Pulled Apart By Horses... Thom thought the song was "immense", band agreed it sounded like Muse and it got quietly shelved
How did you get the isolated vocals from the Hail to the Thief version?
Not only that, but my ears are telling me the isolated vocals here are somehow from the leaked version of HTTT....
@@ClockworkMusicProjectI'm pretty sure the leaked version he sings the little baby's eyes line in falsetto.. I've been looking for that one for a while
@@dmc2008 exactly. There’s a 3 part harmony that doesn’t exist on the proper HTTT version during the ‘white elephants’ bit
