For those that don't know, you can also get a cook book to be able to craft golden vow consumables now. It is found in the battlefield priest cookbook that's found in a tent. I dont remember the exact location of said tent though. Incase you want to run something other than the dagger in your offhand ( like another blood greatsword 😉
Also, there is a perfume that gives the 90% damage reduce for one hit buff and attack buff... it is very strong for certain boss aoes.
you can honestly have the dagger in your main hand and just switch to it at the start for a second, having a consumable might be easier tho
@hassanrao470 the ash of war golden vow is weaker than the spell, prob weaker than the consumable too.
@@deuceyd8468yea the spell is stronger than the ash and the consumable its been tested. However if you dont have the fp, faith or whatever for the spell thebothers are nice alternatives

When using this build against a boss, you are legally required to BLAST the Gurren Lagaan ost on loop until the heavens are pierced

So the ash of war not showing in the magic section bc its gravity magic isnt unheard of, bc Crag blade is in fact a gravity magic ash of war but shows up in physical aswell and allows all kinds of infusions.

I'm pretty sure its because gravity magic deals physical damage. (Like cragblade) but waves of darkness is an aoe wave, as opposed to an actual physical force, hence it's magic. Just a theory

you can use malenias great rune, the crimsom sapping tear and godskin swaddling clotch to get some pretty good heals with this build

Craigblade is also a gravity ash in strength that, at base, deals completely physical damage and can therefore be blood infused. I'd argue it's intended but soon to be nerfed
cragblade has been in the game since release so why would they nerf it now?

For messmer, you can also use flamedrake talisman +3, and flame protect me. Helps heaps
Even if this isnt intended, after the change (if it happens) youll still have frostbite and you can swap LoBE for Millicents prosthetic so its still very good
You can also put this onto weapons with innate bleed buildup (like the great katana or the flamberge) and then use bloodflame blade or blood greases. I like BFB for pvp because the buildup continues while they may not be rolling.

That ash looks amazing. Was about to ask if you have hyper armour with the ash but I see you confirmed yes. Would love to get this and try it out. Pity it's just available for large and colossal swords though.
Cragblade is also a gravity ash of war in the heavy section. Not strange at all.

good video, i wonder what ng the footage was taken, because i see this absolutley working like you showed although in ng7 (what i am currently running the dlc, was a huuge mistake btw😂) bosses litterally 2 shot you and i cant afford taking 2 hits during an ash of war because the risk of another hit just kills you, so i would be highly interested in also high level builds
Yeah this does not work in any way against the final boss and I'm ng+3, he just hits you during the animation and you just die immediately

If you are playing more on dexterity you can use the "Zweihänder" scales B on Dex the Guts sword scales B on STR if you playing blood
Both the silver and gold horn tenders actually give more discovery and runes respectively. Tested it by farming for a new weapon and using it to get more runes from bosses.
So that you can remove the ability from the boss weapon is most likely not a bug unless the person who prepared the red bull characters did it without noticing (during the even people had a claymore with that skill)
Just to note, yes it is in the physical section but that is on purpose as it does no magic damage, it is gravity affecting the weapon itself, hence it being next to the cragblade ash of war, so this wont change in future (damage of it might tho)

I was really surprised to see the Heavy Thrusting sword this Ash comes from be a standard weapon as a remembrance item. I don't think there are any other standard smithing stone weapons offered from remembrances (correct me if I'm wrong)

For the boar boss (he’s annoying af) max out great shield soldiers and I cannot stress this enough as soon as you cross the fog gate haul ass and go around the left corner behind the small wall jutting out summon the shield bros and they’ll agro the boss a lot giving you a chance to do ranged damage preferably bleed or use blasphemous blade.
Worst fight design wise IMO. It's like a cross between Radahn and Malenia. Obnoxiously broken hitboxes, tracking and speed. After dying ten times trying to learn how to dodge most of the attacks I just gave up and used my Banished Knight's shield with the shield talisman and just spammed the Ice Spear AoW, which quickly stance broke and also dealt frostbite. After dying repeatedly trying to "git gud", I just cheesed it first try with a shield and that AoW.

@@Neonmirrorblack yeah he really sucks as a boss as soon as you go through the fog door you’re instantly hammered by the boar 😭 he’s way too fast too you’re supposed to use torrent but he’s so fast that torrent can’t keep up so you’re always being tailgated lol
You should use the fire knights greatsword for this, it has the same high hitstun as Greatsword but with the faster Godslayer Greatsword moveset, and is much lighter, and even against fire resistant bosses, will do the same if not better damage generally.
Do you need the armour for this build or can you wear what you want?
Amazingly enough, since you hit so hard, with so much poise, and so fast, I wonder if Malenia's great rune is actually worth it.

the armor doesn't actually increase the damage you take, it's just less damage negation for the weight.

How does this work I mean I ain't complaining I do 12k in just one rotation btw I swapped the helmet with white mask so I do even more damage it's just insane definitely subbing
You can do this with the crucible art too, just infuse it to a non elemental and you can beyblade into things with whatever grease you want.
So you now have a dex version if swords are not your thing.

I've been farming for the fire knight helm for DAYS. I have numerous copies of every other piece except the helmet just won't drop
Silver Scarab + Outer God talisman + Silver Tear Mask = RNGesus blessed me with only 4 kills to get the drop.
@dantecoal7584 I have 70 arcane, mimic tear helmet, silver scarab talisman and foul foot activated and i still managed to get over 10 torso armors, tons of arms and legs, 2 swords before I got one helmet lol but it finally dropped lastnight!
@@Oblivion262 Congrats on the drop! While RNGesus favored me on the helm, I've farmed the stupid Curseblades for their weapon for over an hour with 0 luck, but every other drop several times. I can't imagine how fucked I'll be on my other builds, lol.
Made it sound so easy getting to out to the exit of that castle. I tan for my life to get there but inside of course its a maze to get out to find the exit! Honestly..

Really strong i first tried a stronger boss just spamming it. its no perfume bottle but its a lot more fun and immersive.
Hehehe i actually came by this build myself, i thought the ash of war looked super cool and kept trying to make it stronger.
The best thing about it imho is that it's pretty hard to knock you out of the animation.

Melina’s flask, you don’t use it but ur mimic can pop it for heals and it won’t use yours
The ash of was is on Freyja’s Greatsword just kill her in the library or have someone trade it to you. At first it’ll say spinning slash but when you go to the ash of war it’s the gravity one. Probably unintended but no boss needed, it’ll probably get patched if it hasn’t already.

if I were you, I would replace dragon crest to millicent then replace armor to higher def because millicent adds 11% while rakshasa (3 parts) just give 6%

The rakshasa armor doesn't actually make u take more damage it's just low defense for its weight

Looks cool, but final boss is still easier by just using a greatshield and a stabby weapon.

Is GUTS better than an Occult infused Flamberge for this? I would think the Flamberge would have a bit more AR and probably more bleed

I did the whole dlc with the sunflower boss weapon when I got it it does holy and I get 8k damage per L2
Bayle's Flame Lighting is pretty dope but my only gripe is that the animation is quite the movie. So unless you have a pretty huge window without getting hit you're pretty solid
You can make anything insane, bleed is very strong but the DLC adds to practically everything
All 3 forms are completely underwhelming unless there is mechanics yet to be uncovered. I have done everything to make the dragon forms good, but having almost no defense, having to spam very FP hungry roars and breaths, and finding windows to use said roars and breathes.. yeah. It means pretty much anything else is just better.

Best part is tho, even if its a bug or whatever, if its ment to be magic, can still go cold instead and get frostbite instead
Actually since it's a gravity ash of war like cragblade it's in the heavy category, so it can have any affinity applied to it

Weapons like sword of night and flame or RoB.
They were in the base game, albeit more rare than in the dlc
IDK if its just me, but when I use this I don't stagger the enemies at all, and I barely do any damage.... I tested on NG+ Messmer.
you dont have to take off the ash of war. just duplicate it at round table hold blacksmith
Could you put this on say… a collosal bleed weapon that is blunt?
You can actually reapply the ash of war on the original weapon (Sword Lance) while unlocking all the status effects, in this case bleed! The sword lance is much lighter than greatswords.
Greatsword gets way more bleed build up tho
