I always supplement and switch it up, using what I have on-hand. Thank God for CZcams, there's always a video to tell you what to do if you're missing an ingredient. Or, they give you an idea on how to make it differently.
Couple tips I've learned...
If you don't have bread flour, just add some baking powder to your flour.
If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own using milk and white vinegar.
If you don't have eggs (say you're making cupcakes or something) you can use applesauce, mayo, a few different things you can use.
If you don't have breadcrumbs, you can always toast bread in the oven and make some...or crush an old bag of chips/pretzels/etc. Add seasonings.
If you don't have oil, you can obviously use butter, margarine, shortening, I always save my bacon fat and reuse it for the next couple meals if it applies. For example, I lather my ham in bacon grease lol.
If you don't have taco shells, croutons, cheese crackers, etc. you can always toss a piece of cheese in a non-stick pan and let it sit in the oven for a minute or two. If you're making taco shells, just lay it over something so it cools and hardens into the form of a shell.
Apple cider vinegar and virgin olive oil makes a great dressing.
Mayo, ketchup and relish makes a great (big mac) burger sauce.
Whipping cream obv. makes the best whipped cream, you can do a lot with whipping cream.
I just recently learned you can slow boil a can of condensed milk to make caramel! I can't wait to try this one! My b, I just love cooking and internet cooking tips.

This video is cool. Except one thing. I tried the breakfast sandwich recipe, and microwaved the eggs for 2 minutes as instructed. (Microwave on high, new microwave too.)
When I tips the mug upside down to poor the cooked eggs out to slice, the top 1 inch was cooked, and the rest poured all over my counter top 😅😅😅
Not a complaint, just advising if you make this recipe I would try 3-4 minutes instead and then check with a toothpick lol

With all due respect you should probably blanch the spinach before freezing it or it will will and become all gross. 30 seconda in boiling water and 2 minutes in an ice bath !
