    Great video as usual mate! Ordered the same one and let me tell you, i have always wanted an accurate model of the F50 but there were none! Not even the looksmart or gt spirit. They did not capture the shape of the f50 quite right. Look at them yourself, even the 1:8 amalgam has an error in the back wheels. They are not concave/deep dish as the real f50. BBR however is SPOT ON! Enjoy it! :)

      I held out for the very same reasons and it was worth the wait! I hope you enjoy yours as well!

    Does anyone have instructions for the Ferrari F50 (1995) 5552 model? I have a box full of parts and no instructions. Son never built it but I would like to but he lost the instructions years ago. Thx!

    That's a very good video, please keep'em coming! I started venturing into the resin world myself, but I'm still quite reluctant, mainly because one thing: these freaking windows. I don't get it. $300+ model, tyre valves, front radiator fans, LOADS of detail on that engine even though you'll never get an unobstructed view on it, even a true-to-scale gear lever -something that's wrong in most diecast 'rraris, you have a steam engine lever on top of a correct-sized gate... And these flimsy, super thin, film-like windows with faux, painted on pieces of trim that ruin the look. I've recently seen detailed photos of BBR 458 GT3 and the tracks for a sliding side window were just painted on it. IF Minichamps can make plastic glazing on a resin model, why can't BBR?

      @diecastden  Před rokem +3

      I believe the answer is clarity. The thicker plastic windows that you see on mostly fully opening models distorts the view of the interior when you are viewing through the driver's or passenger windows. The thin windows are used so you can clearly see the interior since you cannot open the doors. That's what they would tell you anyway.

      @@diecastden That's a fair point. I wasn't super clear in mine though - the thing that grinds my gears the most about it is the painted-on trim. I see some manufacturers do get around that (even BBR does... sometimes) by gluing on the actual trim. A silvery frame painted on a window of a 300 or 400 USD model with otherwise great and realistic details creates a massive dissonance.

    damn the ULTIMATE f50 model! only needs to be fully opening to be the goat but then that would probably make it skyrocket in price as usual. I was considering a GT spirit version but the lack of details for their price just doesn't sit well with me. That rear mesh alone is just awesome! still dont understand why makers like GT spirit dont at least include that. Is it really that expensive to source and make little mesh pieces for these models?

    • @szs114
      @szs114 Před rokem +1

      I think the rear mesh is best selling point for me to get this model, and I don’t think there is any other F50 model out there has the rear mesh even the 1/12 scale ones.

    • @musek5048
      @musek5048 Před rokem

      @@szs114 yeah I agree with that, when I saw that even the Tamiya 1/12 f50 has the maisto style mesh on it I wondered how hard it was to source a proper mesh material for these models but it probably just came down to cost. Good to see bbr finally doing it justice!

    Isn't there any premium DIECAST F50 out there? The best I seem to find is a sealed KK-Scale F50.

    • @diecastden
      @diecastden  Před rokem

      Not really. The KK is no where near premium.

      @@diecastden Exactly... Which is why I'm asking if there's any PREMIUM diecast of the F50.

      @Vitor Ferreira there isn't I've searched everywhere . Best quality opening die-cast is the Mattel elite and its garbage . F50 is my all time favourite car . Bought a 1:12 tamiya and that was junk to . I would buy this but sealed resin and those windows put me off instantly
