- The Day has come & a Trade U was made. I recently traded my old MATCO Cart for this New MATCO single bay tool chest/ service cart. In Olive Drab!! Perfect considering my background!! Wider than the previous cart, Deeper than the previous cart, Taller then the previous cart, more fitting color scheme previously. Enough Said Let's take a look at any changes I might have made & just what I ended up placing within the cart today. Why did I stay with MATCO? In order for me to stay within my contract agreement I needed to stay with MATCO. I also got most of my money back by staying with MATCO. That's is usually the case with most major tool brands. Example: Cornwell, MATCO, Snap-On & MAC. Just as your Representative if you have any doubt. Cheers and thanks for your ongoing support.
They are nice. Still a Snapon guy but whoever gives you the best deal. Good color and congrats

There boxs are very nice for the roll carts.
That is actually probably the only box/roll cart that I like from Matco. I like how the top front has the cut down front. You dont have to reach over to get things or see what's up front. CONGRATULATIONS on the new roll cat and 16K subscriber mark!
I like the 6 drawer carts, they look good and you can load them up and still move them around fairly easy. 👍🏻

That's a great box. That low front door the top bin, actually deep enough for pry bars, the two shallow top drawers for smaller hand tools, great overall size, plenty of room and still very rollable

Very nice. I have the same one in blue. I love how the front edge is low and makes it so you can fit prybars but you're not digging down to get stuff. Snap on has some od green pliers racks that would match your cart pretty good.
For extensions, you can find thick washers that your extensions fit through but don’t fall through and glue them down. I used to have that cart!

You’ll enjoy the jsc773. My 773 will hold the same amount of tools as my classic78. Had my drawer configuration customized to allow extra sockets in the top drawer. Good luck and congratulations

As You know, Not a fan of Matco but thats a Nice Matco but I like the Service Cart & the tray. Alrhough I am thinking of making a tray and The thing that sucks is that can not hold rhe bigger prybars

Nice cart! I just ordered a new cart myself from Snap-on and you’re right about staying with the same company for trade I will only lose about $200 on the original purchase price which is a lot more than I could sell it for. I can’t wait to get it!
Awesome box dig the color. My only thing is some of the drawers don’t have double slides. But all in and all I dig it! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Nice box... I really love those classic craftsman double box wrenches. out of all of my fancy wrenches, I use my double box ended wrenches allot. I think I'll clean up the tool boxes and make a quick review. Stay tunes.

Great Box looks nice plus I like how you simply have everything open and organized to your most immediate go too ..I gotta do better myself I have things organized but still a little to cluttered even though everything is still at reach but I guess that's what really separates having a bigger chest to having your mobile tool cart to be able to roll from car to car ..but Great video as always

Good lookin cart/box. The color is cool.
If you could get your hands on some body plugs that gm uses that have to be removed to install the steps, they work great. If they fit in the holes in your cart could drill a hole for the 3\8 extentions to fit in to close the gap. I have a snap on cart similar to your new 1, and thats what I did to make the holes a little smaller. Thanks for your service in the military.
DUDE !! I am fucking in love with your new cart !! I was really hoping you would end up going with one of the military theme colors because It really does suit you well. This video is seriously pushing me to also trade in my overburdened service cart for one of those new macsimizer carts !!!!

Liking the layout/Organization
I take you move around your shop a fair bit Justin . I only have a very basic service cart. as 95 % of the time I’m in my own bay. but do like the look of these . And could be a cheaper option than going for a larger main toolbox, as I’m maxed out on my current one
I do. I travel 3-5 miles per day in walking and probably push my cart around between bays at least 6 times a day. Everything is shared where I work and keeping everything the same not only helps others to find what they need to borrow from me, but makes it super easy for me to find what I'm looking for over the years. Once you have a system in place that gives you maximum flow... keep it that way. Trust me. Cheers!
The new Cletus McFarland video shows them working on a 1st gen Cummins powered Galaxy. And I spotted a Pittsburg wrench in SAE. I guess if it good enough for them it's good enough for most of us too.

I agree. I almost went with Desert Sand & Black Trim. Either one would have been fitting, but Green is one of my favorite tool box colors if you couldn't already tell & I started off my Army Career in BDU's so Olive Drab Hummv's before Desert Sand. Cheers!
I have the same box, I just wish the top would stay down without actually locking it. But the size is perfect and easily moved around our shop.

I have the Jamestown in red with 5 draws. Great box just wish it had been made with power strip built in. I use my own.

@@JustinDowDIYcentralhighway Mine is the JSC750. Another guy in my shop just bought the 10,000 Giant Cornwell box and we compared the metal thickness and it was about the same. I got mine off Letgo for 600 bucks.. It was like new. I even put the handle on it from right out of the plastic bag.
I have the 5 drawer. I went with that because of the taller drawers so I didn't loose the ability to have my pliers racks. Was able to use my EZ red wrench holders keep then more upright. Up to my 2 in and 33mm wrench. Been very pleased with it. Wish I knew how to upload pics in the comments.

You don't have to lock it to move the draws have adjustable detents look at the side slides the black cam system adjusts the tension

It is a nice box bud and looks good. I am looking at the split top snapon roll cart because as you mentioned having something on top, it doesnt cut off all accesses to the top of the cart.
I really dislike the split top cart I have from Snap-on. The tops dont slide out far enough so the block the holes on the sides. I wont own another split top.

Nice, I have a jsc750. Very similar to yours but it has 1 big top drawer instead of the 2 short ones like yours has. I was actually thinking of trading it in for a split top. Ironically you just traded yours in.
I would use the touch-up paint to color in the engraving on the tools in the box. That way the tools match the box they came out of. Bitchin!

Aso if your impact sockets are worn out just warranty them. No need to work around them in this day and age.

I literally just picked up the cart you had. But orange what didn’t you like about it? Wish I knew ahead of time
Overall I liked the amount of drawers, the slide outs made it easy to work on things kinda like having a mobile work station and even with the draw all the way pulled out it could hold a Ford 6.0 liter cylinder head on it with no issue. What I didn't like about it was the tumbler lock system would lock when I didn't want it to lock and it wouldn't lock some of the drawers when I had it locked. I almost completely dumped it and everything in it on to the ground as a result of traveling from one end of the shop to the other. Only things that stopped it was a work bench and my lower torso. I got really frustrated with the lock though. That's my number one complaint.

Wondering your thoughts on double box craftsman?
I have two different sets. One is mostly metric double box with 10 degree offset the other craftsman set I have is a metric elbow style set and I' been using one of them for over 2 years and the other for over 4 years. Both Sets made in China. Niether set has given me any issues.

All of my extensions I hang up on the lid of my cart on a magnetic rail that just sticks to the lid.
If you didn't have to trade up, did you consider the HF Mechanics tool cart (5 drawer) for about $200?
