As i remember form the old popular science /mechanics articals on run your car on alcohol. They said double the jet size. Your engine is a little low on compression ratio for alcohol. The more you add the cooler the burn. It eventually puts fire out. Racers used alky in high compression engines to cool the burn to stop detonation. Was talking to a pig and ford racer and he tried to use av gas in a model t and it almost did not run on it because of the low compression ratio around 4:1 . Good video
@@RealBelisariusCawl Don't worry, our ethanol is E99, made entirely from sugar cane and potatoes, we are pioneers in the production of biofuels, our vehicles are flex fuel and can work with both alcohol and gasoline!
@@RealBelisariusCawl Don't worry, the alcohol here is corrosive to flex-fuel engines, they can run on both alcohol and gasoline without problems, now old engines suffer
Ive always wondered what would happen if you did this. I totally thought it was done for when it started blowing smoke, but it powered through! It was so interesting to see how it lost torque as the alcohol purity was increasing
@@unigrampa oh nobody it's a little more than that I have literally five lawn mower motor sitting in the back of my house because these "no oil change " mower ALWAYS blow piston rings even when you change the oil. All the carburetors on every single mower is good every single one of them has blown piston rings and one of the mowers was only used twice bought brand new from the store They just make motors really shity these days if they put something like this on lawn mowers they would run forever.

That outro is goated forever.
Thank you for your videos my brother, you are truly appreciated!!
Thank you
in brazil, we use the same alcohol but in 99% for cars and motorbikes!
RIP your gaskets
Isn't that 99% Ethanol instead of 99% Isopropyl? E100. In the US we have E85, so people don't drink it.

I imagine it's near the same as running Ethanol. Different AFR than Benzin/Petrol/Gas.
This dude can get a 70-year-old motor to run on alcohol and I can't even get my lawn mower to start
Jet's plugged from sitting

Oh yes time for new video
I'm actually surprised it ran on 91% ISO. 9% water is a lot. You should try 99% to see if it's any different
People litterally used to use water to keep the gas from pre ignition
Should try vodka next, it would definitely work on everclear though
Nice vintage engine, looks to be in awesome condition, so why abuse it like that? 😕
In what way would this be detrimental to the engine?
Can you run it on propane?
I'll make a note
this guy looks 15 and sounds like he is 82
I get this comment wayy more than you'd think
Also, is that actually 100% alcohol? Most isopropyl alcohol is only like 30%
I think it was about 90%. I did buy this alcohol specifically for it's higher concentration
"Most isopropyl alcohol is only like 30%" You mean 70%, 90-91%, and lab grade 99%?
@@nikdog419 you’re right I was probably thinking about hydrogen peroxide, 30% H2O2 is hard to find
