TASCAM 246 | 4-track song from Ableton to tape

    if you wanna know what tracks are where:
    Track 1 - Guitar
    Track 2 - Bass
    Track 3 - Vocals
    Track 4 - Drums
    just curious if people wanna see this process. i may do deeper dive videos showing how i map it in ableton. i use external effect on each track and map it out appropriately , check out some of my other vids where i explain how is setup and some of the benefits of tape

    I have an old Sony real to real and I run my kick and bass through it then back into my DAW.
    The preamplifier gives it a nice warm hard sound.

      Nice! I find kick , bass , snare , vox to usually benefit the most from some tape processing, also pushing the preamps hard to get some extra juice … what reel do u have?

      @@paulthesimple7483 I have a TC 765, I usually just run any one the lower frequencies through it, any of the mid's and higher I don't mind so much, but yeah vocals some times depending on which mic.

    Hello that’s very cool can you pre record your console and when played the 4 track moves up or down like the console ?

      Do you mean record the volume adjustments back into the tape ?

      @@paulthesimple7483 ya I think it’s called the channel fader it’s where you adjust the volume, and my question was can you pre record that and once you hit play they adjust by themselves by going up and down ?
