WHAT IS CITY OF GANGSTERS?
In this new management tycoon game you'll start a criminal operation from nothing, and grow it into a well-oiled money machine! Build speakeasies and illegal distilleries. Manage production chains and resource distribution. Set up illicit gambling dens and squeeze your debtors dry. Smuggle goods from out of town and bribe the police to look the other way. Grow a powerful crew and keep your rivals under your thumb. Eliminate competition and rule the city. But most importantly, keep the money flowing.
The year is 1920, the start of Prohibition in the USA. With congressional action, a huge segment of the national economy becomes illegal overnight: bars and saloons are ordered to close, distilleries and breweries go quiet, distributors shut down. But a new era is dawning: a gilded age for smugglers, black markets, illegal manufacture, and organized crime.
This is where you come in. You’re a new arrival in the city at the dawn of Prohibition, with ambitions of striking it big. Behind many of the city’s facades, people are building makeshift distilleries, secret loading docks, nighttime speakeasies. Work your way into this network, and the world will be yours.

Man i hope this series continue for a while. Feels like you just scratched the surface and i'm enjoying it
The Icon next to the expansion tells you the advantages. It has a crate with 3 down arrows for "Old Time Glassware", this means you get a reduction of 30%. All expansions being positive, so that would mean a you might consume 30% less resources to achieve the same results. If it has a Up Arrow, its will mean a production increase. One arrow means 10% 2 meaning 20% and 3 is 30%.

@@scott3594 i dont use data on my phone, so i'm on my PC, and can just 2x the speed at points, by holding down the Space Bar...

Seems like it's buildings, buildings, buildings in this game.
I think in the end after everything setup and choosing where you want them to make the best route for your drivers makes having "empty" buildings better in the long run.
I do get what you say though about the production of the building makes sense to have it in the same place. Although, I think IRL bootleggers never did this as if they got raided their whole business is crippled. Whilst if it was just where they produced gin, say. Only the gin is thwarted. 30 ish years later in London, this is what the Kray twins did in their extortion rings with their clubs and such. Interesting stuff and how well organised these gangs were back in the day.
It really is all about the buildings. I might be placing too much emphasis on getting “the right ones” here, but you are limited in what you can get, and everything just keeps getting more expensive the more you already have, so getting buildings that don’t fit well ends up costing a LOT more
@@CharliePryor Yep, and 5 grand in those times, it's around 100k in today's dollars. (which is the average cost of a home today, not sure about commercial (in detroit))
But I will say, your squeakeasy being active will pay dividends, you just have to ramp up the production (like you said in the video).
Charlie.. I've noticed you REALLY need to take a turn, and bring your vehicles for repair.. They're losing alot with how low they're getting ;) oh.. supply issue... get a canadian friend? ;) hehehehe
